Thanks man! I just got hired to wash windows on a multi million dollar property in DTC Denver, Colorado. This just gave me the confidence to tackle this job today👍🏻
Props to you there's nothing like watching a human that knows what the hell they're doing the "right " way. Only thing is my wife watched your video and now I have to do it your way... You must make a good living doing this !! Rock on and thanks for sharing your skills!!
What about the boarders of the windows? When a window hasn't been cleaned in ages, there is all sorts of gunk caked on there. Is there a method you use? Or just scrub it with the strip washer?
Scrub hard and if not coming off something like Spray 9 may help if the window frames are vinyl. If you are going to use that test a small area first to make sure it will not stain or damage but in almost all cases it is safe.
Thanks for the help. I got hired to clean windows today and they came out great thanks to your tips! I need practice but the customer said she never saw her window that clean before. Thanks again!
Thanks so much for this! Appreciate that you got right to the point of this video, and demonstrated everything clearly and quickly. Super helpful, and tips I didn't know!
This is just what I needed, thank you so much - we just had hurricane replacement windows installed and I want to keep them looking good. The new windows are so beautiful and I needed advice on how to keep them that way - appreciate your clear, concise instructions!
Great to the point vid, with no bs music in the background. Now if you could please tell us the secret weapon....what product do you use to clean the window and not leave streaks? I like the blue bottle foamy stuff at Home Dep oT. Thx again!
After MANY years of cleaning windows traditionally I now clean them using water fed pole, but have to say this is a great vid for those who want to clean windows with a squeegee. Bravo!
If you want to be extra careful, push the window scrapper in one direction only to avoid drawing back any debris that could scratch the window. Never use a metal putty knife on a window; use it for window screen detachment. Use a plastic putty knife instead for other stuck stuff on glass.
I saw a window cleaner today. I was stunned. He only used one hand to operate both squeegee and mop at the same time. He was up the ladder, cleaned a large window, using a zigzag motion, wiped the ledge with his cloth, and was down again in less than 10 seconds. I kid you not. I went up to take a look at the window and it was spotless and shiny. No dribbles or streaks or marks from the rubber in sight. The guy was window ninja.
@@robertcarlson9052 So you get mad at people with "selective" language skills, but yet you do the same thing? Yeah, get back to washing windows you dumbass.
Great video. Very informative. Excellent teacher. Thank God this isn't one of those robotic computerized talking videos. Listening to a real man explain how to clean windows- actually made me want to go clean some windows. Btw, where do I get one of those window washing kits?
This summer I am looking to have something to make money on the side with little to no experience and costs. I have looked into window cleaning, and videos like this are helping a lot, so thank you!
Use Dawn dish washing soap with warm water to dip your mop in to clean the windows, use this dude's method.Dawn is power full , use just a few drops in a bucket.
1. Whisk the window: Use your wet towel and wipe off cobwebs off of the frame and the outside of the window. 2. Scrub the window: Use strip washer and see if there is anything that needs extra scrubbing. Scrub off extra debris with the end of the strip washer. You may use the paint scraper as needed but only use it if the window is wet. Make sure to close your scraper and put it away. 3. Wash the wi dow: Wash the window by starting with the borders and corners. Then wash the center. 4. Wipe the window: 5. Squeegie the window: 6. Dry the window: clean up dribbles: 7. Final examination:
We are English window cleaners and we do it differently and 10 times quicker. We would never use a mangy old towel we use micro fibre cloths. What the hell is the putty knife used for. We also would never just go up and down or side to side, that’s what a beginner would do. We go in all different directions never taking the rubber blade of the glass until the whole window is finished. But all that was back in the day. We mostly use the water fed pole with hot water coming out and you could clean that entire window, frame, and sill in 30 seconds. But I have heard that in the states you charge an absolute fortune to clean windows over here everyone has them done once every 28 days. Anyway best of luck in the future.
My coworker asked me a while ago if I could clean windows. I said yes. I can't clean windows. I have to clean the window front in 30 minutes. This is saving me.
I ll be right back comment section friends, I have to go to the ER room and get a few stretches. I forgot to close my scraper blade. I knew I should of just did it like I have always done it. Grabbed a couple of my wife's hand towels from the kitchen. I wet one of them and go clean the windows. Happy wife , happy life
I use two buckets of water for 30 windows...basement ones and walk in basement patio is the worst.Put warm water, vinegar and dash of Dawn dish soap.Other bucket clean water.Use microfiber clothes, dry/wet squeegee and ladder. With my mom's help,we were done in 4 hours inside/out.Had dog saliva/smooch on bottom inside of the patio door🤣🤣🤣and that's how I do it because it's a lot of windows, window seals, mud and spiders,cobwebs...nuhhh I need my buckets 🪣 with water dude...
No you dont want to put your wet squeegee on your dry towel, you want your dry towel completely dry. I own a window cleaning business in Colorado and I rarely ever use a towel to clean my squeegee... I usually wet the window then tap my squeegee on the glass to knock off any debris caught on the squeegee.
What do you think about different kinds of style and techniques and are you willing to try them all out? You gotta be open to what suits the job your doing and be cognizant of being efficient with a sense of purpose.
There are a few components to starting a cleaning service from home. One plan I discovered which successfully combines these is the Gabs cleaner blueprint (check it out on google) it's the no.1 resource that I have ever seen. look at the super information.
I'm not sure why you need to wipe two edges of the soapy window before you use the squeegee. You say it's to give the rubber some grip. I'm confused...
