Awesome!Some times you just have to get past then ugly to find culinary delight.If I ever catch a snakehead I think I will try some creole magic and blacken it!Hopefully more people try them and can put a dent in an invasive species.Love it!

I'm a huge fan of these fish. They are delicious and are as fun as Large Mouth for sport fishing.

This is because snakehead fish contains high levels of vitamin A.

I see a spot at the start of the tail. Snakehead don't have that as commonly (but they do have it). Male bowfin also have that spot. You wouldn't have any pictures of that fish when it was alive do you?
@Rodneyrogersoutdoors
@Rodneyrogersoutdoors 7 лет назад
Tim D you are incorrect ... all bullseye snakehead have the spot. There are several species.

You sure do lose a lot of the edible meat when you slice off the skin. Looks like you cut off as much fish as you left. Wow how did it cook in less than a minute?
@Rodneyrogersoutdoors
@Rodneyrogersoutdoors 5 лет назад
Ann Alejandro didn’t do this to save meat. Wanted to try it for the first time. Did the Fillet to avoid bones.

Sandeep Dillikar these fish are so plentiful we don’t care about gaining 100% of the meat.

I thought peacock bass were an invasive fish just like the snakeheads.
@Rodneyrogersoutdoors
@Rodneyrogersoutdoors Год назад
They were actually introduced by FWC in 1985.. .. to control other cichlids … so your actually only allowed to keep two.
@willowpitbull47

Your technique wasted a bunch of good meat. Not to mention that your fillet look like like pieces of fish.
