Is there any other steps prior to cutting, or once the quill comes out it's good to go on the inside? Very informative vid. My kids wanna eat some squid but I'm don't eat anything from the ocean, so cheers for the info.

Bread crumbs around calamari? Not in any restaurant I've been to. The best way is very light coating of seasoned flour, then a dip in the buttermilk/egg coating that's about the consistency of ranch dressing, not too thick so when it fries it gets a nice thin golden layer on the outside.
