Thanks Mike. Yup, while I really like 3D products, the merger simply wasn't going to work for Mike Phillips. I wish the employees at 3D all the luck in the world. Me? While I like 3D products they wouldn't let me show non-3D products in my classes. They even made me take down pictures showing RaggTopp products for canvas tops. The thing they don't understand is, people take my classes to learn how to detail cars with whatever it takes to do the job right the first time - NOT just one brand of products. So there were problems that I couldn't manage because my priority is to teach people how to do it all, not just do what can be done via a limited product line. Same went for Solution Finish. So yes, all is well in the galaxy now. -Mike Phillips

Clear, concise, and to the point. Thank you for a great video on the use of the Ragtop products. I'm sure it will apply to other cleaners/protectants as well but I'm using RT products and that's what brought me here.

Great video - Thank you. I have a new stayfast top on my 56 t-bird. Do you need to reapply the protectant every time you wash the top? This is Iowa with a lot of crop dust and bugs that need removing after a cruise. I also might point out that one can of the protectant sprayed as heavily as you show will not be sufficient for a top my size.

How do you care for the ragtop after you’ve applied this? I wash my car once a week. Do I use the ragtop cleaner every week or would that remove the sealer?

No, don't use rag top cleaner once you treat it with fabric protectant. You should just rinse it off occasionally with clean/fresh water. If you let it get particularly dirty, then use a neutral PH balanced cleaner and a soft sponge. The fabric protectant should keep the dirt out of the ragtop fibers (which are usually acrylic at the end of the day). If dirt is getting trapped bad, then it might be time to actually use a fabric cleaner and mechanically scrub/rinse and then re-treat with fabric protectant all over again. Assuming your vehicle is NOT garage kept, a good treatment (like from RaggTop) usually will last 4-6 months in warm/wet climates. In colder/snow environments, you're looking at 3-4 months.

I'm not sure. Doesn't really matter to me for application reason. I TRUST the manufacture uses the best liquid delivery system to make the product the most functional for this type of application. -Mike Phillips

@@autoforge solvent based dries faster than water based. Should have respirator with solvent based stuff

it's solvent based, but the solvent is very low and safe for acrylic.
