Dan I have been watching you for at least a year. Normally you do gardening videos or plant videos. I’m EXTREMELY happy to see you doing this kind of content. Be careful what you show brother I am a very 2a person. I’m cool with most of the guys who do this kinda content. The tube doesn’t seem to like us at all so just be careful. Love your channel and I would hate to see some anti American BS happen to you Sir

Good video Dan. I've been tumbling for about 3 years now, late to the game but I wouldn't do it any other way now. Just a suggestion, my system for separating the pins is to buy a case sifting pan that will fit a 2gal Home Depot bucket and after draining the drum dump everything into the pan on the bucket and put it under a water tap and let it run. It will fill with water to overflowing and just stir the cases around, the pins will fall into the water filled bucket, the brass gets rinsed and once you remove the sifting pan with the cases for drying you just dump out as much water as possible and pick the pins out with a nail pickup magnet. You can get the magnet at harbor Freight for less than 10 bucks, it's the type that releases the media and it will dump the pins back into your jar with nothing left behind. I can dump a drum of cases into the pan, rinse them, seperate the pins and have them back into my drum in about 3-4 minutes. You might also want to try Southern Shine Media, it's small stainless steel chips with edges on them. They don't get stuck in flash holes, bridge in case necks and actually polish the cases with the edges. I've used both and IMHO do a better job.

Thank ya for watching and commenting Mr Ken, welcome to the channel!! The pins I use do bridge at times and get stuck in some case necks, I'm gonna have to give Southern Shine a look and also the media separator you mentioned, thank ya for the tips sir!! I preciate ya stopping b the channel, have a great weekend!! Dan

Nice show Dan. We used to shoot large caliber but moved to .22LR for practice with some large caliber range practice thrown in. Using the .22 lets us shoot more for less money, but equally important it’s easier in arthritic joints. Thanks! Take care.

"Ole Dan always doing something..... like.... cleaning brass" 😂. That made me laugh! Seriously, that is some major process you got going. Nice! Is the next generation interested in continuing this process. You're recycling and using things wisely. Isn't Lake City ammo produced near Kansas City, MO? Be careful! And have fun.

FYI, if you're using walnut shell media for dry tumbling, check the pest stores. They sell that stuff for lizard terariums (it looks like sand) way cheaper than sporting good stores sell it for dry cleaning media... ..same stuff!
