They're biodegradable Filter will fall apart even though it is brand new.. raced enduros for over 20 years And many 24-hour races in Alabama Perry mountain, only filter I ever had fail on me.. I had several of these filters still in the package that had issues. Tried to bring it to the owner's attention... He tried to blame me. I didn't want anything from him. Was just trying to help them make a better product.. You can use them if you want. Not me!
