This week I share how to clean Tough stains on your wood-burning stove glass. After doing morning chores I spend the day enjoying the beauty of a local river.
It’s amazing how well some of those old tricks work. It really takes very little effort to clean the glass this way. It’s awesome to hear from you! Have a great week
this is the first time I have heard of using the ash. I have been doing a lot of hunting so catching up on this rainy windy day we have artiian well near us as well best water ever
Hey, seen you over at our friends channel " Debs way" came over and happily joined your channel. great tips on glass cleaning.. our stove right now hasn't one but we are shopping this week for one with a glass door.. good to find THIS before we get it. great share.
Simple Green and newspapers. I had the same stove a few years ago. Throw the newspapers into the stove afterwards to use as a fire starter for the next fire.
Already knew about the ash cleaning properties but the river and waterfall scenes were simply awesome. Thank you for sharing. I'd love to cast some Aglia spinners or Panther Martin lures in there and see what hits.
Beautiful river and waterfall. The area looks wonderfull! Wish I were there! Great tip on thr glass cleaning! I used to just use windex with vinegar. Did an ok job, but I like your way better. Very smart idea.
With all the work you have to do on the farm, who’s got the time to waste on cleaning a wood-burning stove.Hopefully this helps you out. By the way that big green tractor is awesome! I wish my wife would let me get one.
That's a great trick. I only learned it last year. For years I tried other methods. Thanks for sharing. A comment you left on another page brought us here. We'd really appreciate if you'd give our channel a look if you're not already following us. Thanks!
Thank you so much for watching! It’s funny how small this world is . Is this Chad? I have been watching some of your videos! I am guilty of not subscribing but I will do so right away. It’s awesome to have you with the channel thanks for subscribing
I use two pages of newspaper, one I damp and squeeze out then dip in the ash then wipe the glass, the other page to wipe the glass clean. You need to let the resulting past only just dry before You clean it off. Left too long and the past is harder to get off but too soon and it will smear, when You have finished just throw the used paper into the fire.
We stoped using this method with ash, since i noticed few scrathes on ours glass, not sure how it hapened, but it did... For stuborn sooth i ordered special dry cleanning glass cleaning sponge, and for light sooth build up, we use damp news paper, works great - but no glass scratches!
Karl’s Off the grid I always used the stuff in a can that comes out foamy, I’d spray it on and let it sit for a min and then use the razor blade and I never had an issue. It bugged me when I would walk in and you couldn’t see the fire lol
