I made this today and it was friggin awesome. You won't believe how much the Cap'n Crunch enhances the taste. The spicy mustard sauce was awesome, too -- don't skip out on making it. The recipe produced enough coating for about 1.5 large chicken breasts, cut into 3" long strips and lightly pounded out to a width of about 2". That was when the coating ran out, so you might want to double it if using more chicken. There was plenty of egg/milk leftover. Thanks Mr. Wilbur.
I laughed so hard when u said demi moore thought of using captain crunch for da breading, so funny todd. I also loved ur cloning a snickers bar blindfolded and was astonished dat u could actually CLONE a snickers bar so yea, keep up da good work on cloninig grub and cheers.
Planet Hollywood actually gave away the recipe not long after they open back in the 90's. I went to a PH in Texas about 30+ years ago and on the back of the printed paper that covers the tray that you get your ordered food in... there it was! the recipe for the Capn' Crunch Chicken. It still have that paper cover.
I'm surprised about the buttermilk (are you outside the U.S.?), but you can definitely use regular pepper instead of white. Just substitute regular milk for the buttermilk, and you'll be rockin' the Chicken Crunch.
what can I use as a substitute for the cornflake crumbs? (we don't have it here..=/) or..how do i make it? is it the same as crushing Kellogg's cereal? thanks!
Well, while a good chef doesn't mix flavors, this one is pretty good. The cereal is sweet, but by having the chicken and spices, you add a spicy flavor. Spicy and sweet normally don't mix, but it seems to be fine here.
This is the kind of thing I'd been waiting for......i think i'll open up a restaurant nearby my house and if I make money, I'll be sure to donate to your website

excellent! Definitely trying this one. I REALLY wouldn't recommend frying in that much oil though, the slightest spill and the whole pan will go up in flames. NO ONE should try that.
Hey Todd, I tried this with Crunch Berries, it kinda tasted weird... i dunno, i think we did it wrong, plus, the crumbs we're coming off as we fry them... but oh well, hopefully the 2nd try we'll do it right, ahahah Thanks though! You Rock!

it would work if the amt used or the ingredients were posted... i like the instructions, easy to pick up.. but the ingredients list would help...eg, i didnt know how much milk was used... cheers=]

Too sweet, I make homemade chicken fingers a lot to appease my inner-child, but I use a mix of flour, panko bread crumbs, onion/garlic powder, paprika, salt and pepper. They are awesome.
I have no idea what sugar puffs or golden nuggets are. They are definetly not like rice krispies...cap'n crunch has TONS of sugar in it. They're very crunchy...very sweet. They have a distinct flavour...sweet as hell. It's childrens cereal. They might be like golden nuggets although i don't know what those are so I might be way off.
@jusfuknwidya captain crunch is a peanut butter flavored cearial so maybe you can experment with other ones in your area since im not sure how much flavor would be in other brands.
Oh and we want the recipe to Rosanne Bars "Loose Meat" and we wanna know whats the name of the yeast all the different pizza places use ? and whats the name of their pizza sauce because the yeast and the kind of sace they all use makes each pizza place taste very different from one another, please get 1.) Poppa Johns -Yeast (name it and from where do they get it) & Poppa John Pizza Sauce also 2.) Little Ceasers 3.) Pizza Hut 4).Happy Joes & All California & New York Pizza places EXPOSE THEM ALL
@draggt03 we dont have corn pops either.. we have strict rules on how much crap can go into foods. i think i might just make something else instead then..
@jusfuknwidya and before you go to far sorry theres two different captain crunches one is peanut butter one is not..... so my mistake. the one he uses is not. So some thing close to it would be like corn pops. But dont know anyother thing that would come close.
Hey WE ALL WANT KFC TOO ! hey I know the secret recipe to that famouse chilli recipe at Wendys or is it Hardys ? anyway all it is is this > Brown Hamburger Meat 2 pounds then add 1 medium Can Brooks Chilli Beans,1 Large can Joan of Arch Kedney Beans, 2 large onions chopped 2 large green peppers chopped then 5 cans of Demontee Stewed tomatoes in blender on high till all tomatoes are mashed, then one finely mince jalepeno pepper finley minced, then 1/2 box velveta cheese melted into chilli !
