Hey everyone, I've been seeing a lot of questions and posts about how to issue commands to archers and your melee units and essentially put them into a particular formation. In this video, I've broken down how I typically manage my Archers and Melee units separately so I can get the best tactical advantage against the enemies.

It was probably implied, but make sure you equip the weapons manually (use E to command them to hold still lol) 😂

Oh yeah, I hate watching videos that take 22 minutes to show you what I did in less than 5, lol - every channel vid I have is short sweet and to the point!

@@OfficialDlonem as a former content creator, this is gold. i came for the mechanics and i got it. rare. i never seperated range and melee, since the range rarely hit a target. i just had them there to spray and pray.

@manoclocknews ah! Super happy to hear man. Maybe they'll fix the whole "sword" and "bow" icon and add another option to control units with ranged weapons in the same "army", however those works perfectly in the meantime!

Also you can command your men to pick up the loots from enimies，that would be really convenient cause you won’t have to pick loots from ground one by one

Yes! I recently discovered this, I haven't actually used it since only one or two of my guys have actual Bags on them but this is a great tip

This video very useful, you should put it on steam discussion, where ppl keep crying they cant fight again reclamation party with their "best gears" :)). untill now, im only solo bow all raid and reclamation patrol

you can make a weapons rack and fill it with bows and a second with melee weapons and command them to interact with them as needed as villagers without weapons will run from danger.

i swear I always struggled with trying to add bows / quivers / arrows to the weapons rack! have they fixed that at all?

Do you know if there is a way to keep them in the army tab but convert them back into workers?? Like so you don't have to add and remove them from the army tab every time you want to go raiding or get raided??

That is a phenomenal question that I do not have the answer to! I would love to know the same exact thing though

I hit "O" to bring the Army tav up, then you click the "+" in the corner, then you left click on the "Companions" part, then it'll change screens and you should see a little pencil at the top by the name - use that to rename!
