Question. I have a HP laptop with a USB C, HDMI and VGA ports. My HP monitor has USB C and In & Out HDMI ports. From your Video it appears that I can choose between either the UBS C or HDMI to extend my laptops display to the monitor. If that is correct, I would not need an adapter to extend the display. Did I understand your video correctly? If so, I would be using the "In" HTMI port on my monitor from the laptop. Both systems are Windows 11 if that is pertinent. Any clarification would be helpful. Thanks.

If your USB-C port is able to, then yes. I use an USB-C to HDMI adapter for a 2nd monitor.

Hi, Iam having MSI GL65 Leopard, Intel 9th Gen. i5-9300H laptop, i tried connecting an external monitor to using HDMI cable, but when i checked nvidia control panel. physx config, it showed to me that it is by default connected to intels gpu and not nvidia gpu, (which is most common case with many other laptops aswell) which surely affects the performance in games. Iam going to buy a 240hz monitor and connect it using mini dp port, but iam unsure wether the mini dp port is connected to my nvidia gpu or not. Please help me!

@@andrewkinzie9564 my laptop has a mini dp port, so i bought a mini dp to dp cable connected my 165hz monitor to it and now its working fine. I get 165hz with dp and 144hz with hdmi. And regarding the nvidia phys x, our laptop has dual gpu’s so it automatically switches gpu according to the application no need to worry about anything

Hi there, If your external hard disk is not showing up in disk management, it's possible that there is an issue with the connection between the hard disk and your computer. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue: Check the cable and connections. Check if the hard disk is spinning up. Check if the hard disk is recognized on another computer. Check the power supply. Try data recovery software. Download Recoverit here: bit.ly/3ZoowNK If none of these steps work, it's possible that the hard disk has failed and may need to be replaced.

Hello, I have a question. I have a laptop that have an HDMI slot, and I also have a monitor screen that also have HDMI. But the problem is, the laptop's lcd is broken and I was thinking of using the monitor screen as a substitute for the screen of the laptop, but the thing is that I can't access the settings as the lcd of the laptop is currently broken. Is there any way to solve this?
@RecoveritDataRecoverySoftware
@RecoveritDataRecoverySoftware 9 месяцев назад
Hi there, thank you for your question! You can use an external monitor as a substitute for the broken laptop screen without accessing the laptop's settings by connecting the monitor via HDMI, relying on automatic detection or using keyboard shortcuts (often involving the "Fn" key and a Function key) to switch displays, booting into Safe Mode for basic display functionality if necessary, or temporarily connecting the laptop to a different working monitor or TV to adjust display settings, and then reconnecting it to your laptop for use.

I’m using a USB-C to HMDI adaptor from my laptop to 165Hz monitor. The connection works fine, however the display on the laptop is way laggier and the fps is nowhere compared to the fps displayed on the laptop. I have tried using different resolutions but nothing seems to be working. Any advice?

Hi there, thank you for your question! Your issue might be your USB-C to HDMI connector not all cables support 165hz so make sure you have a compatible cable that specifically mentions that they support 165hz and that your laptop supports 165hz transfer over USB-C. If you believe it has something to do with the resolution make sure that the external monitor is set to its native resolution this should address the issue with it looking way larger.

@@RecoveritDataRecoverySoftware Thanks for getting back to me. Do you have any ideas on how I could check whether by USB-C to HDMI connector can support 165z? Also how could I check if my laptop supports 165hz over USB-C? Much appreciated

I bought a USB C to HDMI splitter and they sent me a HD-TC splitter, external monitors are black when plugged into it but if I plug one monitor into the hdmi port on the laptop it works fine but I only have the one port on the laptop and need two!
@RecoveritDataRecoverySoftware
@RecoveritDataRecoverySoftware Месяц назад
Hi there, thank you for your question! It's most likely due to the cable you're using I would recommend trying to get a high quality cable to make sure it can support the splitting. I would also try testing it with a different port if possible.

what if i get an hdmi cable but my laptop port is 1.4 and my monitor is 2.0 will it still connect?
@RecoveritDataRecoverySoftware
@RecoveritDataRecoverySoftware 8 месяцев назад
Hi there, thank you for your question! The connection will work, but it will be limited to the capabilities of the HDMI 1.4 standard. This means you may not fully utilize the advanced features introduced in HDMI 2.0, such as support for 4K resolutions at higher refresh rates, advanced color spaces, or other enhancements. Your display will likely operate at the maximum capabilities of HDMI 1.4, typically supporting up to 1080p resolution at 60Hz, which should be sufficient if your devices do not require the advanced features of HDMI 2.0.

What if both the laptop im using and the external monitor use micro hdmi?
@RecoveritDataRecoverySoftware
Hi there, thank you for your question! You'll need a micro HDMI to HDMI adapter or cable. First, check that both the laptop and monitor have micro HDMI ports. Then, connect one end of the adapter or cable to the laptop's micro HDMI port, and the other end to the external monitor's micro HDMI port. Adjust the display settings on your laptop to extend or duplicate the screen onto the external monitor. Power on the monitor and select the correct HDMI input. This will enable you to utilize the external monitor as an extended or mirrored display for your laptop.

@RecoveritDataRecoverySoftware
@RecoveritDataRecoverySoftware 6 месяцев назад
Hi there, thank you for your question. To connect your laptop to a monitor with an HDMI and USB-C cable, you can follow these steps: Use HDMI Cable: Connect one end of the HDMI cable to the HDMI port on your laptop. Connect the other end of the HDMI cable to the HDMI port on your monitor. Use USB-C Cable: Connect one end of the USB-C cable to the USB-C port on your laptop. Connect the other end of the USB-C cable to the USB-C port on your monitor. Configure Display Settings: Once the physical connections are made, you may need to configure your display settings to ensure the proper display output. Right-click on the desktop and select "Display settings" or go to Settings > System > Display. In the display settings, you should see both your laptop screen and the external monitor. You can arrange them, select the primary display, and adjust the resolution.
