Full roof structure build tutorial. We use 5x2 c16 for these roofs as height is everything as you know. If its more than 3mtr span we double up on the timbers. Ive built this alone today whilst trying to do you a video to show how its constructed, so please excuse the poor camera work. Thanks for watching

That's a solid roof, you could save money and make your own timber beams for over those wide door ways. Laminate two 5" by 2" with a rip of 1/2" plywood in the middle, 👍😁🔨🇮🇪

Another amazingly informative video, that thankfully breaks down your longer start-to-finish video I've watched numerous times. It gives intricate tips that I wouldn't have considered before, such as striking the string line between roof joists, rather than measuring. I'm hoping to start my garden office in a few weeks, maybe I'll make some vids to show how I've used many of your techniques.

Hi Liam - Started by build today, rods are in! Shoes and floor joists arrive Monday... Its harder than your team make it look - especially asa 1 man crew.. I've watched a few other providers, one of them wrapped the bare stud walls in membrane - no OSB at all and even rested the floor joists on a few old bricks, unevenly stacked - cowboys....

@@staceycook5067 6x2 joists (150mm x 50mm) will span 3.5 metres at 400mm centres but if you are restricted by overall height then you can use 5x2 doubled up ( gets very expensive that way considering your practically using twice the timber)

Great job . I'm hoping to sort my masonary roof out ASAP. 3.4m death amd 3.3m width it has a single potch (not truly check but will ) of about 15° shitty tin corrugated . No insulation .(although I did initially follow a roofers advice if fixing some below roof sheets deeming useless). So thinking new joists (original 4x2 were laid flat side meaning less strength. There's an rsj as additional support central perpendicular to joists . Joists are rotten..so thinking osb 15mm sheathing entire roof section over new 4x4 400 centres as the rsj will give it extra support ..then membrane (gor that already) and reppace metal sheets maybe some additional insulation pir underside leaving air gaps ?. Ty in advance Nice work btw neat
