i have a 2023 LG OLED C-3 EVO 77" and this does not control the volume of the Bose 900 soundbar.

davids2688 Bro, If you have connected the Soundbar Via Bluetooth or HDMI, then only you will be able to change Volume with TV remote. If you connect it with Optical Cable, then you need to use Soundbar’s remote to control Volume.☺️

@@Fix.369 I tried on friend LG TV C1 65 and q990b interest think. when we plug HDMI from soundbar, PS5 HDMI-cec will not working, if we unplug samsung q990b hdmi-cec will start work with ps5. but samsung q990b dontt work with LG TV C1 65

user-zx1ir7jt4c Bro, Unfortunately If you connect the Soundbar via Optical Cable, you won’t be able to use the TV Remote to Control Soundbar. You need to use the Soundbars own remote to Control it.☺️

Yeah same problem. My bose solo 5 only has an auxiliary and an optical cable port

I am able to control my soundbar via the TV remote using the Optical port but since LG’s last update months ago, There is no longer a menu item to turn on and off the soundbar.

@diegovlucena Strangely as of yesterday, I can again turn on and off the soundbar power by hitting the 3 dot button and selecting Soundbar Power. The system is in Optical. I do not know what has changed as I’m not aware of a recent software update but maybe it did.
