In this weeks video I'm converting a Space Marine Intercessor into a member of the Legion of the Damned Chapter, ready to turn the tide in times of dire need.
Welcome aboard, planning the next rounds of conversions now (I usually work 4-6 in advance) so if there's anything you have a burning desire to see nows the time to shout
Amazing modell! Legion of the Damned just has the coolest aesthetics in my opinion. I really want a Legion converted Ferrus model haha. Just a bit of lore addition, they don't actually get battle damage, as bullets/projectiles simply pass through them, they are pretty much the 40K version of LotR's Army of the dead. They can still have battle damage obviously from before they became damned I guess.
Cheers, the LoTD lore has changed so much over the years, I remember them from the early days of 40k when they were a total enigma, just a picture in the painting space marines guide and a few odd lines of lore.
I'm confused I'm just getting into warhammer so I'm a nood lol but I watched a video that stated "when they die they explode in a ball of flame" if they can't take damage how does the death part come about? Sorry if this is a stupid question.
Cheers for that, really enjoy converting them, I'm building up quite a shelf of random marines. Not sure we'll ever see new models, they've always been a bit of weird left over lore from the early days of 40k, but they do look pretty damn cool
Shame you didn’t do a ribcage on the chest. I like that look and I want to do some Legion of the Damned conversations, but I’m not sure how to go about doing ribs.
@@TheCockedDice I am now if you’re willing. Preferably a method I can use over and over for an army. (Can’t sacrifice dozens of Chaplains). The bone toes on the LOTD boots would be appreciated as well if it works for your idea.
Always willing, nudging around an idea for some discount characters (ie chaplains, librarians etc from standard marines) so could focus on a couple of different bone chest plates for the chaplain that could be ported over for LoTD.
Sorry thought I put a message on the vid about it. Anyway it just didn't look right, too many things going on in different directions, the principle worked OK but for this model with the rest of the flames going in one direction it wasn't needed.
