How to Convert MK6 Artificer Armor

In this video, I will be showing you how you can take the new plastic MK6 kits and add both resin torsos and plastic chest pieces from other space marine kits, such as the blood angels sanguinary guard.
This is a pretty straight forward conversion, but as Games Workshop decided to cut these kits differently than almost every other space marine kit they have ever produced, it is a little bit tricky to use other bits with the MK6 marines. This is unfortunate because Artificer Amour is one of the most common upgrade taken in the Horus Heresy. Luckily, the conversion is fairly straight forward and anyone can do with a little bit of patinate.
As always, please feel free to comment below or reach out to me on Instagram if you have any questions on my videos, I'd also love to see any of your work so send it on over!

I think a conversion tutorial on how to utilize the greater scale for other marks of armor would be great! Like A Mk3 Marine In the updated scale. Would you just cut the knees off of the MK3 and glue them onto the newer Scale legs? And sculpt the other detail? Or how would you do such a conversion?

Sometimes when painting hard to get at places I've thought should "do I really need to paint this, the bolter covers this? Or no one's going to notice an armpit unless they pick it up and know what they're looking for." but I always get every part of the model. It doesn't matter if anyone else sees the belt or notices it, YOU'LL know it's there. The mk.vi kits are beautiful kits but they're not very user friendly. They're stand alones for most people getting into the hobby which kind of sucks if you're just getting into it and you realize you can't just take a mk.iii plastic torso and slap it on as easy as you could do to a resin mk.v legs. I do wish they put the legion specific torsos back in production, they were just fantastic to make your legion look like their legion. Once more great, simple conversion and thank you for doing it the hard way first for me!

Pretty much why I always paint in sub assemblies, can't miss anything that way. And yeah, there are some things about the mark 6 kits that I really like (such as the notches for the arms) but im pretty bummed that they deviated form "standard" marine parts so much on these kits... Nemesis is awesome. But I do have a small critique the helmet makes the armor look like artificers Mk4. You see usually characters models with special armor deviate from the standart details such as knee plates, vimbraces and trim. The helmet usually stays the same unless it's a special pattern such as the serum pattern.
@livanbard

Also forgot to mention the problem you encountered with thee torso is not of scale, but incorrect anatomy. The torso you selected only have chest and belt areas. Also older torso and backpack for marines were not standard, not only the pegs were sometimes on the front torso, the backpack ball joint had wildly different sizes over the years.

First rendition is definitely better. Its a bit hard to explain without a visual reference but what i did when using destroyers torsos on the corvus plastic legs was leave the belt and the legs but actually take it off the resin torso instead. I then cut back the lower rib areas on the torso and then pinned the resin torso onto the legs. From there i used greenstuff to fill in the gap and rebuild the lower ribs that i slightly extended to match the scale of the legs. No extreme sculpting skill required. Just a silcone sculpting brush to blend the green stuff to the torso.
