In this video, I talk about a simple method and thought process I use to cope with anxiety and anxiety attacks.
In my own experience, I've found that I always try to ignore my anxiety by burying it or pretending like it isn't there, but I realize that doing the complete opposite helps me so much-by stating the obvious, I can tackle anxiety and resolve it head on.
The goal of "stating the obvious" is to point out the source of your anxiety so the problem can be framed in a way that is simple and manageable. State an obvious solution to that problem, and then lay out the necessary steps to get to that obvious solution.
Because the problem is obvious and your solution is an obvious answer to that problem, outlining your path to that solution becomes something you can easily work out step-by-step.
"To erase false perceptions, tell yourself: I have it in me to keep my soul from evil, lust, and all confusion. TO see things as they are and treat them as they deserve. Don't overlook this innate ability."
Marcus Aurelius, Meditations 8:29
