With the iPhone 15 range which includes the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max you can plug in external drives, memory sticks, SD cards and other cards with a card reader like CF Express. You can simply plug them in to the USB-C port that is now available on this range of iPhones. This also works the same way with iPads with USB-C. This has been around longer on some iPads.
If you don't have a USB-C drive you can always use a USB 3 to USB-C adaptor.
