How To CORRECTLY Shoot In 3rd Axis 

I do agree that the 3rd axis is somewhat has its own degree of difficulty, and I have also heard where stabilizer can get tricky, and don't forget about your own personal endurance for time of total amount of practice time, you need to have good endurance for lengthy timed practice,

👍👍 I like using 1/2” wide painters tape on cardboard in a vertical line. If you don’t have a good target like Jeff used . The line really needs to be “ plumb” vertical for accurate results. For me I have better feedback on where the pin was at the shot, left-right or on the tape.

Adjusting your third axis will affect your left and right zero on flat ground. So you almost have to re zero your sight on flat ground after making the adjustment. The adjustment you refer to as opening the scope will swing your pins to the right making your zero off to the left.

One thing I have realized that needs to be more well known to people is that the first axis can be levelled to your bow string OR your riser OR your natural lean... I see SO many people say it has to be levelled to your string, and others will argue and say I have shot for 30 years and only levelled it to my riser.... and they both claim their way works perfect... Because they are BOTH right. What matters is that your 2nd axis is perfectly married to the first axis. That is the critical part. Using your string or riser is the easiest way to do it, but if you naturally lean the bow when you are holding, you CAN level your first axis to that, as long as your 2nd axis is set to perfectly match it. 3rd axis is always best to shoot in IMO... The jigs can get your 3rd axis set up to be square to the sight itself which is a great starting point, but that does not take into account any torque you may be putting into your bow, which we all do to some degree or another. Always good idea to shoot in the 3rd if you can.
