What i admire most about your channel is that you create REAL, GENUINE, INFORMATIVE AND ORIGINAL VIDEOS. You don't just make 20 minute advertisements for Killstar and other overhyped brands, and i thank you for that. Keep you channel clean and original.

To add onto this project, I would recommend if going with Phillip's, doing the light strip that's also RGB. You can adjust it to whatever color fits the mood, be it purple, red, or even green with either a smartphone or home assistant (e.g. Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa). The strips can also have extensions added on for extra length, and with the Hub, you can add up to 50 lights that can hide behind the couch, throne, or even in the windowsill. Works even with standard lamps as well and are dimmable if they are too bright or overpowering.

What an easy and *fabulous* way to make night lights for the kiddoes too!!! (and in the bathroom for midnight visits) much more stylish than the typical plug-in nightlight!

I think I lost my breath when I saw the hooks going into those very, very expensive pieces of furniture. Heart palpitations! I would have opted for command strip hooks instead.

The light didn't reflect as well as I thougnt it would and then I remembered, you used super black paint when you repainted the wall. Super black is designed to absorb light. That is something that people may want to keep in mind when planning to decorate with lighting.

The lights coiled in the basket looked best against the black, at least on camera. The thrones’ backlighting might look better in person.

During Halloween sales I picked up a few orange rope lights & attached them under my bed. I've got other orange accent lights in my bedroom & the overall effect was amazing.

Next time so you don't have to put holes in your furniture from the hooks, try Command hooks, they won't put holes in your beautiful furniture & they're easily removed & come in various sizes. That way if you change your mind later on, you won't have any holes to fix on the back of your chairs. As for the video as a whole, what an awesome idea! And one I'll pass on to my sister, who funny enough has a few strands of purple rope lights hanging up.

If you don't want to put holes in your furniture you can use the peal and stick command hook

Magnificent! Makes me want to dig up some of the rope lights I had from years ago as well to get that effect going! For the past years I used to horde the Halloween lights and string them around my room, usually the violet purple or some slime green ones (perfect for the RE-Animator feel!). Thank you Aurelio!

I did too. I knew what he was up to before he flipped the chair around, but was anticipating something like using some spider wire line to "floss" its way behind the furniture tacks, and then the lights would loop to that. That said, it's minor, and the effect is nice. The blue was unexpected... Looks good, though I confess I was anticipating purple. The black wall looks great with the two thrones and everything in front of it!

If you dont want to screw into your furniture, they make adhesive backed plastic hooks to hang your lighting rope from!! The lights arent heavy so the plastic hooks is really all you need!

And again (as I did on the first lighting video) I will point out that electroluminescent wire is pretty cheap these days (I've seen it in dollar stores), comes in many colours, and provides a more even glow than rope lights.

This episode was truly illuminating! I daresay I came away most enlightened! (And if anyone dares to give me a thumbs down for this comment, I say to you, "lighten up!" -_^) Seriously, I can see other uses for this effect, such as in LARPs (Vampire: The Masquerade and Call of Cthulhu both come to mind instantly) or if you're trying to make your apartment look either hard SF (Aliens/Star Wars/Star Trek/etc.) or Steampunk (use yellows and oranges instead of purples and reds to simulate gas lights or early electric lighting circa the War of the Currents). Seriously awesome, simple, and effective little bit of decoration!
