Lmao my boyfriend calls me a grandma cause I’m only a teen crocheting but here he is asking me to make him a scarf lmao, it’s nice seeing more younger people getting into this hobby. It’s fun!
i started crocheting when i was 11 years old then i stopped at 14 and now i’m 18 and i came back to crocheting and i’m thinking about opening a bussinus soon
I'm almost 50 and never did a crafty thing in my life. In the last 3 months I've taken up crochet, knitting, sewing totes and clutches and leatherworking. I don't know who I am anymore lolol
I literally just learned how to crochet last night and I can’t believe how easy it was to learn how to make this scarf! I’m practicing the stitch first but I’m already confident I could do this!
hii, did u do it?? I know it's insanely late to ask but still, im starting to do it it's winters already and I wanna make these things for my sisters, dad and mom . wish me luck
Pretty sure this is the clearest explanation I’ve ever seen of a simple but beautiful crochet pattern and technique. I’m an advanced crocheter, but I was looking for simple squishy scarf inspiration. This was perfect! Bravo 👏🏼
Hi! I’m new at crocheting and this is one of my first projects im doing, i was doing well but towards the end I realized that in the beginning are completely different stiches from the end
Finally a beginner pattern that doesn't frustrate me! Your explanation was so clear! I am practicing this in chains of 20 but I already know I'd love to make this into a blanket! Thank you!!
Honestly, I love the way you describe the steps -- bunny ears and all. I'm attempting to make this scarf for a coworker who has become a good friend -- he's going into the hospital for treatment and I wanted him to have something soft, comforting, and home-made. If it goes well, I want to make one for my dad as a Christmas gift as well (he just lost my aunt, his baby sister). Somehow, home-made/handmade gifts feel right to me, I'm pretty terrible at buying gifts -- but it's like, if I make them, I give a little bit of my joy/time/care to them. Anyway, thank you for the tutorial and thank you for not making us beginners feel "guilty" about not liking counting starting chains.
May I say I’ve watched a ton of videos how to make a clean edge, some were so confusing then I found yours. I’m 66 n starting to get back into crocheting. Want to thank you this video is awesome. I’m ripping out all what I’ve done n starting over. Did a sample of your video n WHAT A DIFFERENCE. Thank you❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for this video. I love the fact that when the title of your video has the word "beginners"... it truly is for beginners. I have seen other RU-vidrs out there who say that their tutorials are for beginners but when you watch it, it is not. And it does not help that they add background music (which can be very distracting especially to a beginner). So thank you so much for making this video easy to follow and very clear. I'm going to subscribe shortly. :-)
Thank you so much for this tutorial! This is my first ever crochet project, and with your explanations I'm well on the way to making my own scarf. One thing I would love to see in the tutorial is how to change to a new ball of yarn when one runs out! I'm sure I can find it if I search, but would be nice if you went over that here since it's a big scarf and most people probably have to do it. But once again, thanks. Very clear teaching.
I’ve noticed that it you just tie a not and cut the ends you can just crochet it right into the scarf. Lol I’m a newbie too but I found that out by accident because my ball of yarn had a knot in it
Last year I crochet one for myself and this year I'm making another for my father. Thank you for this easy and beautiful scarf. Lots of love from my side 🥰
Thank you so much for the clear explanation. I was able to make the scarf. I know it's not perfect but I am really happy with the outcome of my very first project. I actually used two colors and added fringe.
Hey! I was wondering if you could tell me about how long it took you to finish your scarf? I want to start making a scarf as a Christmas present but as a beginner, I am not sure how long it will take? 😊
Crocheting and knitting is great. It's relaxing helps you with math. All school's should teach crocheting. Be proud of your crocheting. Your ahead of everyone that will learn as a adult.
This is by far the best crochet tutorial I've come across ☺️ you explain everything really well, it's very clear and I love the little tips like going through the two hoops on the first and last stitch. Very useful for beginners like me. I've started mine and so far it's looking much better than anything I've done before.
I love this pattern! I am using double strands to crochet this Superscarf. It is a bulky scarf because I am using two strands together of I Love This Yarn Chunky , a variegated beige/brown tweedy look called Sandstone and a solid color called Sandfrost with the P Hook. But I am crocheting a chain to make the scarf 20 inches wide and then making it long , so the ridges go side to side rather than the length of the scarf. When you crochet the initial chain and all of the stitches very loosely, it makes a really soft scarf! It’s super bulky and will be super warm and it’s coming out beautifully. I just started tonight and you get far in a short time. It is a great tutorial. You make it so easy to follow, very clear showing how to crochet and where to put the stitches at a nice pace. Thank you! 😊💕 PS I am a new subscriber. 🧶
I'm coming here as a recommendation someone made on a video with millions of views but a horrible tutorial. I watched that tutorial 3 times, as slow as speed 0,5 and still I wasn't making it right. I understood with you that the edge stitches need to be done using both sides of the V. Thank you so much for this wonderful tutorial! I'm making a scarf for my husband 💚
Before following your video, I had never done any crocheting before, so I was a bit hesitant about starting. But I followed everything exactly and my scarf turned out perfect! I love it so much and it's so warm :) A few rows in, I had redo everything to adjust the tension for the first line of stitches because I was unhappy with how tight I had originally made it, but it was definitely worth it to start again having had that extra practice. All of your tips were so helpful and I really appreciated how you explained every step. Thank you so so much!!!!
Mid 2022 and here I am trying to make my first scarf cause to this tutorial!❤️ I decided it is way better to make my own scarf than buying one for €25+ hahah. Thank u so much!
I love how you explain how to make the stitches and made the scarf with your guidance. Thank you so much! Shelly Now I am looking for an easy men’s vest video. I hope you have one.
I used this video after many failed attempts at other projects, and I actually completed it!! It was so easy to follow and I cant believe I finished the project! Thank you for such a concise and clear tutorial :)
Thank you so much for this tutorial, the pattern on the scarf makes it feel very luxurious as opposed to one dimensional, I hope you'll come out with more tutorials like this one so us beginners can also present something beautiful without being too complex.
Thanks for sharing, this pattern is really lovely for a scarf ❤ I finished it off with just a slip stitch row as my final row, and then added a slip stitch row to the beginning, as I think it made the edges look more similar and tidy :)
I love love love your tutorial! You taught me the best method for my starting slip knot, and I've made about 6 scarves so far using the pattern I've now memorized from this video. Thanks so much for this! I can never find the yarn you're using, so I just use a size 4 yarn for now.
I love how you teach this and the scarf looks gorgeous. I am going to follow this tutorial and make a scarf for my brother. I'm off to buy some yarn and a crochet hook 😊
Seen a bunch of tutorials and this was the only one so far that didn’t make my head spin due to a cringe accent or just babble (English is my 2nd language after Norwegian). Thank you. I’m a semi advanced knitter, but crocheting looks somewhat easier in terms of a lot of things. Done countless scarves similar to this, but in knit. So fun to see the difference, and compare. And didn’t know garments and colors had «gender»😝🫣🙄
Thank you so much for making this tutorial 😊 This is actually easy to follow for a beginner like me. I’ve watched many tutorials but this is the only one I was able to understand and follow easily ☺️ Thank you again ❤️
A really well explained tutorial. The fact that you personalized it as per how you don't like counting, like it fluffy and lose..it is how I'd wish tutorials were. They are of course always formal, traditional and appreciated however, yours is something I aimed to find in scarves I'd make. I don't mind the talking since it helps you understand exactly how to do without getting lost. Although I don't have that size a hook yet or such a bulky yarn, I won't be using this tutorial. But for my next project I'll definitely aim for this. Thank you. You were very clear, and for once it was beginner's friendly.
Scarf turned out very nice in the bulky yarn. Had not seen Color Made Easy used in anything before. Although I am an intermediate crocheter, review is always valuable:)
Thank you sooooo much . My first ever crochet project in my life and it's turned out wonderful. Your instructions are so simple n easy to follow and love that it looks beautiful after it's done .... already started my second one . Bless you n thank you again
I did mine horizontally instead of vertically and so it never really "ribbed" like yours. However I really liked how it turned out and I cannot wait to make another. THANKS! You explained it all and gave wonderful information that made it easy to follow, even with this being only my 2nd crochet project.
A month ago I got back into crocheting and this is my first scarf ever (I only did granny squares & things you can make out of that before 'cuz that's all grandma taught my mom who then taught me xD)
Thank you so much for this video! I started crocheting some weeks ago and I wanted to do something easy but useful and I came across with your video. You explained it sooooo well! I'm halfway through and I'm super excited!
@@WanaWijaya23 i actually gave up doing it because it was too repetitive and boring, but I first learnt crochet from this video. Now I can crochet amigurumi, and other complicated things
What a great video. I had no idea that I even could use a larger hook than the recommended yarn size. I never liked how stiff the results would turn out. You explain things so well. I just subscribed.
So well explained!! Can't wait to watch more of your videos and try them out. Like someone else said, there was no bg music which was great , and it was just one stitch and truly is for beginners(also will help us just practice single crochet and get it more uniform ) AND also you explain the reason why you're doing something which i don't see a lot of people doing, we actually get to learn rather than just repeating something
I'm making this right now! Something about fall is making me want to crochet so many warm and chunky things, and this scarf fits the bill! I'm not a beginner but this tutorial was great!
I love the look of this scarf. I accidentally used a size 6 yarn and decided it was too big for a scarf so I kept going and made a throw blanket for my mom. She loves it. It's heavy (8 pounds) and super warm (she's always trying to get through winter without turning up the heat). Thank you for this tutorial. I love the ridges, I love how squishy and lofty it turns out. P.S. The nail polish is perfect.
