good looking half circle, I am having no luck with the magic circle, I'll print out the pattern, start with it, thanks for taking your time to show how this works.
Agreed!! I am about to make a crochet bag and I need half circle. I know the math of the circle and oval, and half should be half of the circle, but still wanted to be on the safe side.
Thank you ! It was helpful to learn and you make it very clear that we have a lot easier to learn. Can you send a videos how crochet baby shoes it will be more helpful for us.
I have tried watching several videos on how to make a half circle and yours was the only one I could understand. I do have a question: Is each following row after row 4 the same, 2 DC in one stitch. a single DC in 2 stitches, a 2 DC in one stitch and repeat to end of row. I also want to say your photography of the stitches was perfect. Thank you for taking the time to post this. Barbara PS just read your written directions and they helped. Just so it is clear in my mind, Row 6 would be: chain 3 with 1dc in chain, 1 DC in next 3 stitches, 2 DC in next stitch to end. and Row 7 would have one DC in next 4 stitches and 2 DC in next stitch. Increasing the number of single DC, followed by 2 DC in next stitch. I have one more tiny question. I’m going to use Sugar and Cream yarn doubled. What size hook would be best? Again thank you for your patience in helping me understand how to make a half circle (rug). Barbara
Hi, thx for your nice comment. Have you checked the written pattern, it explains everything. Anyway, in every row, the number of single double crochet increases by one, means, example, 3rd row is 1dc in the next 2st, 4th row 1dc in the next 3 st, 5th row 1dc in the next 4 st, and 2dc at the end of this increase and so on, hope it's clear.
@@barbarasd1196 for the rug , if you're using 2strands of yarn then 5 mm hook would be good just bear in mind that it can be a little tough on you wrist, try and make your stitches a bit loose so it is easy. Good luck .
Hi, Thanks for sharing! QUESTION..what brand of yarn are u using? It looks so soft & shiny. Sometimes I need a yarn like that & it's hard to find. If u can remember, I'd appreciate your time to respond. The color is pretty too. Made it really easy to see your stitches. Thank you again. Blessings, L :)
@@CrochicaNBF Thank. Would u believe I just got the red I was looking for & it was Red Heart Soft brand. I wanted that little bit of sheen to the yarn. I love it, but found by accident, so thank you for replying. Otherwise, I may never have found it. Blessings, L :)
You don't say how many stitches you put in the circle and I can't see them well enough to count. Got the general idea tho, so thank you for posting this. :)
Try slowing the video down. Click on the three dots in upper right of screen. Highlight speed and adjust from there. In most cases you need to return to normal speed when finished.
Hi Mala, sorry for the late reply, every row you do is similar to when you do a circle, to keep you work flat, you increase the single DC in every stitch, let me know if it is clear or else I'll try and explain differently 😊
@@CrochicaNBF Hi...thank you so much for your response...by increasing single crochet and reducing DC in every row, at one point I will be doing only single crochet in every stitch.....how do I proceed after that to complete the project??
@@malaanand7229 you keep doing the same until the end you will get a big half circle blanket and eventually the 2 dc in every stitch will be in every 15, 20, 30 stitches........
