I made a shawl out of this yarn, its super lovely with a really nice drape. Hobbii has really nice options for cake yarn. For my shawl I chose one that was dark grey - orange - yellow gradient. Very autumn-y. Its nice to see people use hobbii yarn because as a european, it can be hard to find the kind of yarn that you see in alot of american content creator's videos.
This is beautiful! I was looking for something simple I could get lost in at the pool or in front of the tv. I’m off to search my stash for a lovely cake. Thanks for sharing your time and talent.
I've just started making this shawl and it's amazing seeing it grow as you crochet each row. I do enjoy your tutorials you explain things so well and each project I try turns out really well. Thank you. Looking forward to others 🌸☺️
Another lovely shawl. I keep doing your shawls. Autumn skies another Autumn one snd now this will be my go to. I like easy relaxing and let yarn do the work. Thanks again for a fab shawl!!
It’s so beautiful. I’m currently working on your Fields of Provence shawl, but I know what my next project will be! I absolutely love the colors of this yarn cake. And I’m so excited it’s from Hobbii, which means I can get it here in Europe too!
You do such beautiful work!! I love to watch your tutorials. Actually the very first blanket / Afghan I made was one of your tutorials I believe it was called the Bria Rose blanket. That was almost 6 years ago when I first started & learning crochet.
A pretty shawl. Hobbii has some beautiful cakes yarns in which I've made 6 shawls since last summer and still going. Enjoy not having to change to different colors. Found 100% cotton splits more than the cakes that have some acrylic. Don't understand why that is. Thanks Jennifer for the video. 🤗
I have 3 cakes coming from Hobbi (can't wait - getting excited!!) Just wondering - do you block your shawls? I've got one on the go at the moment and it's sitting quite nicely, just unsure whether I need to block it at the end. Love the colour gradiant in this Blueberry cake - its on my wishlist.
No worries! You can totally use a 4 weight yarn for this pattern, just work as many rows as you want until you get the size shawl you need. It's very versatile in terms of changing up the yarn...hope that helps!
This might seem like a silly question, but I just bought a huge mandala yarn cake from lion brand and it’s #3 light, what hook size would I use for this yarn? I’m okay with the shawl being heavier since it’s the yarn I have and I just didn’t look at the pattern materials closely enough haha
My yarn from Hobbii arrived at the weekend and I’ve just started my shawl this evening. It would have been useful to see how much yarn you actually had left, rather than it being off to the side so that we will know roughly how much yarn we should have left. I’m worried I may get 3/4 of the way through a row and my yarn run out, then when I unpick it it leaves me with a larger space where the hook had gone through the stitch below ( hope that makes sense).
