Amazing video! Always extremely informative, helpful, and builds our confidence to DIY. I spoke to the owner of a local custom lighting shop, who used to do retros (oven/un-seal/halo/demon eye/seq/etc/butyl re-seal). He said they gave it up cause they were ruining some lights in the oven, from off-gassing. Have you heard/seen of this? Is it something to be concerned about? Does it have to do with the sealant the manufacturer uses? I have a Hyundai Veloster N. Thanks bro.
Greetings to everyone! I would like to see a video on how to clean the inside of the headlight lens! I love the content of your channel, I've been a mechanic in the military and civilian sector! I am learning a lot by the professional way you present and explain your trade! Have a wonderfully blessed day!
I enjoy your videos! I'm a mechanic and body guy by trade. Bc of your videos I tackled my first projector retrofit and sequential turn signal for my navigator headlights since the aftermarket suck for those suv's. I appreciate all the great tips!
SMASHED THE LIIKE & SUBSCRIBED! first time watching a video of yours! Your vlogging skills are top notch. Tons of useful information and your way of explaining things is very relatable. Thanks for the video!
Great content. Did my first retrofit a few years ago on my JDM Soarer and now wanna go a bit further with my G35. Where do you find your custom led parts from? Is there an online store I can look?
Great content! This is the first video of yours that I've watched. What if you wanted to make your drls look like a solid light bar like you see on some newer cars?
SUPER HELPFUL VIDEOS @FlyRyde !! How many minutes do you need to put the light back in the oven for the resealing portion ? The same 7 minutes? Also, I noticed you used clamps to help push the lens back into the housing; but you only needed them briefly--is it just safer than pushing it back together by hand? Also, where do you get your clamps from? Your attention to detail is why I subscribed :-)
I had custom headlights made a year ago. They must up. I while back I brought them inside to dry out overnight and added more sealant around the whole edge to try help but still must up but still must up. Any suggestions? I did think to put in a cardboard box with hair dryer for a while to try fully dry them. But not sure how long is safe to leave them like that?
Can you do a video on a 2015 Buick Enclave? I cant stand the chrome accents and all that so I'm trying to paint the headlights black. I'm also trying to do the taillights but dont know if I should paint them or tint them I have no idea but would like your advice on how to do the headlights mainly
Can you do a video or just a summary of how to open lights that use the permanent seal like the sprinter. That stuff just remains pretty much hard even if you put it in the oven. What do you use on those? Any advice would be just amazing. I butchered my sprinter headlights and when I get the new ones I don't want to mess them up again. On a sprinter they're a pain in the ass. One installer I met in Arizona said he won't mess with that car and if he does it's 500 bucks just to open the headlights.
Great video man , I need some help .. so the black plastic that is right under the lens is bubbling up like the paint .. I never opened them but want to fix them .. how would I get rid of the bubbling paint .. so if u look at the lens then go down there black plastic . That part

You mentioned not to put a BMW headlight in the oven unless it's old. How old does the BMW need to be to be safe to put the headlight in the oven? I have a 2010 750 that I want to put LED angel eyes in and black it out.
hey great video. i want to see if something would work the next time you take one apart and in has finger prints try using a ceramic paint cleaning/protection spray i use it on the black chrome on my car and it takes everthing away
Well, one year later i hope i get a reply, o have some bolts inside my headlight that can not be removed, can i heat up the headlight with them on, or not?
Trucks are soooo much more work to open. I tend to advise people to spare themselves the learning curve, and just cut. Check out Jack: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-yphujhMi6NY.html
I have a question because I’m looking into doing mine soon. Don’t know if you are active in these comments or not still. But would love to ask you. Thanx bro
I don't know if anyone asked if you'd make a video showing us how to fix lens hazing from the inside, but I would be interested in seeing how you would go about doing that.
yes...please make a video of how to clean the inside of a lens..my BMW has a while cloud and they are the xeon type...expensive. I wonder if they can be cleaned from the inside...THANKYOU 😃
Curious about the oven process. Why not use boiling water? At 212F, it's pretty close to the 220 of the oven, and you don't risk the radiant heat concentrating on one spot. You would have to remove the bulbs/wires, but the even, consistent heat might be worth the trade-off.
Hello my friend...can I use a heat gun instead of an oven? I do have an oven...but it is pretty small...I don't think my headlights are going to fit in the tiny lil space😆
I have done so many headlights and i've always wiped them clean. Would love to hear why not to do that? Ive always been forced to bc like you said, it takes a couple days and the lenses get dust on them.
