You can cycle from the beach at Crosby all the way to Maghull on cycle paths and quiet roads. It only takes about 35 mins and passes through the scenic Rimrose valley park.
I hope you find this video useful.
I can't recommend the very last section of the video into Maghull, Liverpool Road North is a busy road, however I don't know another way!

interesting route. just looking at the map again at the start - when you left Rimrose park it looks as though the canal would have taken you to your destination too . I get lost too easily
