Description: In this video we look at how to de-register and then reset an Amazon Echo Spot back to factory defaults. As the Echo Spot has a screen, the reset process is slightly different to that of other Amazon Echo products.
The same basic principles can be used to de-register and factory reset the Amazon Echo Show.

What If scree in blank and I had to reset then? Replug didn't works

Thanks... any idea how this thing is supposed to connect to a BT Hub worked for about 2 hours now won't spent a whole day on this and have now done the reset. :-(

Hi Paul, Im not a fan of BT, Virgin or Sky Hubs so use a third party wireless router. However, I don't think that BT Home Hub would be any different from any other wireless routers. It might be worth trying to setup the Spot really close to your BT Hub, just to make sure its not a WiFi problem. Barring a wifi signal issue. The only other scenario that I could think would cause such a problem, is if the Spot is second hand or a reconditioned unit. If the previous owner registered the Spot as lost or stolen. Then factory reset the Spot and sold it. The next person that try to setup the device, will see it work for a short time, but as soon as Amazon Servers notice that its connected to the internet, they will send the device a kill command to stop it working. I hope that's not the case However, if the Spot is new, I would suggest getting in contact with Amazon. I have found them to be very helpful when I have problems, and they will swap out new units. @@mydoodads Thanks for your reply... the plot thickens like you I am not a fan of the BT Hubs however my trusty workhorse TPlink Modem router produced a lot of smoke yesterday so I had no option to try with the BT Hub. Its interesting because doing lots of searching at work today it would appear that many users have experienced the same issue with BT saying its Amazon and Amazon saying its BT its 0140 and having now spent 2 hours rebooting resetting etc etc oh and entering everything manually it is working however the test will be if it stays connected. Amazon replied to my initial email extremely fast and actually responded to my email content rather than a standard reply. As a last resort I may have to phone BT support but the thought of phoning India and going round in circles really is something I would like to avoid. Anyway thanks again fingers crossed I may have resolved it. Impressed with Amazon though (so far) Thanks
