Ndoda. That zigzag thing you do over the speed hump, is stupid, because 1. You don't have a dropped suspension 2. The front lip doesn't even touch the speed hump 3. The speed hump is NOT that steep at ALL 4. You're the only one in your car, so ayibhashile. So wenza'ni? You're not an amateur driver, but doing things like these let's me know your experience is amateur. The zigzag is for cars with low suspension, or heavily weighed down. This is common mistake made by those who follow the crowd without thinking, without any applied mathematics on these roads. Mostly people with new German cars who don't even know WHAT the ZIGZAG IS USED FOR. Even when your car is fully loaded with 5 passengers, your suspension will not drop. So just drive over the hump straight on. I'm venting, I know. But I've found too many idiots on the road wasting our time, creating unnecessary traffic doing zigzags, but when you look at the car... it's one person in there. Take no offense, but this is just a serious Pet peeve of mine. A gripe i have with the society of idiots. Video was informative though... but I hate the uneducated zigzag
😁😆Out of all shallow misguided comments I have ever received, this one takes the trophy. Find something better to do with your life, you don’t deserve the internet. I wanted to ignore you but your comment is honestly a cry for help😏 HOW CAN WE HELP YOU?🤔
Haibo Kanti whose car is he driving? Don’t be bitter please, who elected you as the educator of zigzags? Hai hai suka, not here please, take it elsewhere just not here, like Objection your honour : Relevance? 🤦🏽♂️
@@Darkie015 feel like that would be illegal also kinda dangerous cause with the Vin also the owners details are tied along. When you run up the numbers for insurance stuff. But I stand to be corrected.
you've come a long way from showcasing houses, I see the videos are removed lol. Anyway congratulations on your continued success. You are truly genuine with sharing information, unlike other reviewers who just want some fame and flood their faces on car review videos, and we just end up with a face review.
But from a customer service perspective, they have to have an exception especially if it’s factory related issues detected within 2months (or any time interval) but then again it’s business to them .
Nduna you've covered all the important points and aspects, very valuable information you've provided. Keep educating us tatana. Now we can welcome "Billy the goat" to the channel. Let's see how he lives up to his promises 😜
Ibuyile inja madoda 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 This is excellent consumer advice. I'm so glad you stood your ground with them. I've been following your journey from the beginning.
Great info Muzi (You will be the next Wendy Knowler with added tech insight). Just one more for your subscribers. There are basically two ways cars are built today that all must take note of Cars today are built around planned obsolescence VS those built to last. Cars build around planned obsolescence, they are built to fail with time (i.e. The parts failure is planned), e.g. A mini water pump will fail every around 100km. Cars that are built to last, usually have less breaking, and have no certain failure pattern but could just be normal wear & tear or and often abused (Intend or not), e.g. Corolla will last forever, but some fail soon due to unintended abuse of using non-Toyota oil and people believing these over-the-counter engineers telling you to by Castrol and all those many expensive and unnecessary engine oil. Failure to factor this, you ill end up with an endless money PIT & since car prices are now almost surpassing house prices, one purchase mistake will set you back for years financially. Great & informative vid, Muzi & wish all Mzansi young people to follow their passion as you do
Thanks for a lovely video, just to add... MIOSA is funded by levies from the motor industry that its meant to regulate. And as someone that has gone this route before after exhausting BMW SA's internal complaints resolution processes as well as Wesbank's...I lastly had to deal with the NCC which was the final nail in the coffin and I ended up having to concede to BMW SA and Wesbank (who were practically singing from the same hymn book), took a loss and "sold" the defective product to them, took a loan to finance the shortfall and vowed never to put myself into a contractual obligation with these business giants ever again! Headache!
The 1 biggest lesson I have learnt from this Polo gti case even if your a petrol head, you must not be quick to modify your car the day after you have collected it and down pipe, custom exhaust, stage 2, pops and bangs...even if you have told the insurance company that your going to modify your car because in a case like this getting a faulty car. VW SA would definitely bring you down for modify your car and blame everything on you and refuse to replace your car even if they have tried to fix the problem
If you modify your car in any way or have it serviced anywhere else but the dealership during the warranty period, then you automatically void that warranty. It’s in the T&Cs in your purchase agreement.
Thanks bafo for looking out for us, I had an incident with Williams Hunt Edenvale oil leak on Opel 2020 model with only 14km on the clock. According to ombudsman I was not supposed to ask them to try fix the car as that was a practice of one of my right (repair, replace, refund). Once u practice any one of these, then it becomes a problem to execute any other on the options left. I took matters in my own hands as I didn't want to end up with a problem for 6 years and agreed to pay a penalty of about 10k to reverse the deal. It was painful but now I'm free from stress and depression. As u said justice system in this country is useless for ordinary people. Thanks again for ur videos we learn a lot from them.
This video will be visited by many in the future. Very informative video. Car dealerships need to jack up they service delivery and customer service or they will be dealing with many more people like yourself.
This video need to be saved or pinned somewhere so true people are voiceless and it sad that you be paying for something you no more enjoy driving or no longer want but with the thought of "ngizawu tini nabo abazi ukuti yini ikinga" 😭😭💔
Hold on, My brother Just got his LLB. I'll forward the video see what he can add to help in situations like this. Car dealers in South Africa have a reputation of being dishonest due to them being rated on sales and how many units sold. That's why Month end you'll find new cars marked down for the pure reason for sales people to pump numbers up. It's a cold harsh truth to many aspects in our lives. The seller isn't someone who wants good relations, but rather just higher figures on an a spreadsheet somewhere. For bonuses and to look valuable to the company. I know someone who worked at VW hatfield. The "BEST BRANCH IN SOUTH AFRICA". He grew tired of the coldness of how people are treated. So he left saying its immoral what happens behind the scenes. Sales people don't even follow up on whether you are enjoying your car or not. Back in the days. like 90's My Dad bought a new car. The sales person kept close contact with him. Made sure he felt there was a relationship, because like you said. A car is a very valuable asset. Those lucky enough to have one know how if something breaks or if the car isn't reliable. Your world is rocked. How do you commute to work, learning new bus routes and taxi routes also doesn't put you in the place you need to be to. So I 100% agree. The dealers and sales people are cold and not interested in relations to their customers. It's all about hitting a target number. That is the part that needs change. VW is big here in SA. They shouldn't just be selling cars. They should be taking care of the people who are joining the family in that purchase
I Bought a 1 year old Mazda 3 in 2017. Never had any issues, even today is till running. How I wish to buy a German made car. But I am really scared to deal with dealer tactics. 😅
I was looking forward on buy a car.....but now I am having doubts and I might take a year for me to buy.....so now I am going to study videos such as yours.....
Thank you Muzi for this useful information, we really appreciate it. So the dealership has given you a new Car cs I saw you removing things on this vehicle
Eisha this car is beautiful mara 😫🔥🔥🔥♥️ 3:30🔥✌️..thank you Mr Sambo for the information and being the voices of the voiceless, show that one can speak if they keep on provoking 🤝I respect ✊
Yeah.!!A new vrrpha for the people 🎉. Where there's no knowledge and education people suffer not in this channel, our Dr is enlightening our ignorance and darkness. Danko
Very informative!! Siyabonga. I'm looking into buying the Mazda 2 Dynamic. I'm not that clued up about cars so I was hoping that you could be so kind to making a video reviewing this car 🙏🏾 Thank you ✨
At least SA has a Consumer Protection Act and a Motor Ombudsman. Here in Namibia it’s either you drive your scrap or you approach attorneys, if all internal measures fail.
Hi Mr Sambo please explain how the plan to sell the car in your case would have been a trap for the dealership? What would have been the repercussions for them?
Yes, but it depends on where you buy the car because some dealerships are not regulated by the MIOSA...Also some used cars are sold under the voetstoots clause meaning that you accept the car with it's defects, known and unknown. In this case you can’t enforce section 56(2) of the CPA.
My car is faulty I have been waiting over a year now for my car to be fixed. I have contacted the ombudsman for help. True, that takes forever. Suzuki SA is aware of it and have not done anything to help. I have not involved wesbank. Is this a good extra option?
Sure Bro I jus followed you few weeks back. I am currently in the same problem, I bought a faulty vehicle this year mid March. they have been repairing it but its not getting any better. I tried to cancel the contract and MIOSA gave them a chance to repair it and it came back with issues again. The bank said they cannot cancel the contract unless the MIOSA rule so. I demanded exchange (replacement) or refund and they are refusing. I am still waiting for the decision from MIOSA for the second time. I am worried that 6 months is going to runout and Section 56 will not protect me. Please is there anyway I can use or try?. I am not affording a lawyer and my only hope if MIOSA does not favor on my side is to go to N.C.C...
It would be more feasible to do a full check of the car on the day of handover from the dealership whilst it is on the showroom floor before signing any forms. If something is not in order don't sign or take the car. Tell them to give you another car or sort out the problem and when it is resolved only then will you take the car and sign for it after confirming it yourself. Can even ask your financing bank to hold payment as the goods or assets for their financing is defective. In this case if the infotainment system and DCC was not working these are quite apparent and can be checked in the showroom. The brake fluid warning light could have been seen as well. Personally I would not take a car with any fault in the showroom as this can be a sign of an underlying problem that may be difficult to sort out... as in your case.
You know what you could have done. You could’ve taken your polo Gti to another vw dealership that’s not the same franchise as the one you took it to see if they couldn’t fix the brake problem If the other dealer could have sorted out your brake issues then you write to VW head office that the other dealer couldn’t get your vehicle fixed Then that could teach them
I doubt, at WEBUYCARS theres a LAW that says "BUY AS IS" ….so agreeing to that means u wont come back to them should the car give you problems, and that is why one needs to always go with someone who is knowledgeable with cars or a mechanic when buying a car whether new or preowned!
With regards to WeBuyCars, you have to buy a warranty in order to be covered by the consumer protection act. Without the warranty you take the car under the voetstoots clause(AS IS).
Renault Duster would make more sense than Renault Kiger in my opinion. With the fuel price hikes in our country, cost of ownership comparison and Duster would sure last you longer....my 5bob advice.
why is it that with the Golf the R-line is the top of the Range and the GTI is below it and the Golf R is the most expensive one, but with the POLO's is the other way around?
Golf R-line is NOT top of the range. That's where your confusion lies. "R" and "R-line" are 2 different things, just like "N" and "N-line" in the case of hyundai.
Ok I hear you Grootman, but from what I know, the Golf R is 4motion(*AWD) and the GTI is not, which means Golf R is faster than Golf GTI which means more expensive which means Top of the range, to my understanding the GTI is just more popular than the Golf R, but with the Polo is not the same
@@andrefortuin4554 You're right. But what he's saying is that the R-line isn't an R. It's a regular Polo model with the R trim specs (Basically looks nicer), but it doesn't have the higher performing engine.
@@andrefortuin4554 R-line and R are different. In the Polo lineup there is no R and that's why the GTI is at the top In the Golf lineup it's R-line, followed by GTI and then the R at the very top
Sorry about your issues firstly and secondly, there’s no need to approach a speed ump with a polo sideways, it’s not nearly low enough to do any damage
He probably moered this car as soon as he bought it...without driving it in. Secondly, this car is a waste of money...why buy a polo gti? Can u afford to buy this car cash two times over? If not...you should not be buying this car. Not worth it.
Don't buy Volkswagen cars of any model. It's just not worth the money spent at the time of buying and for sure a neck breaking experience for after sales services like the expense we make for regular service, quality of the parts and replacement parts after the warrenty period. I have a Vento diesel Volkswagen..... It's just been 8 years... So much of unnecessary money spend on it. Waste of money. Regret buying it.
