That's great news. Taking my Polo Life DSG into VW probably mid June to get all my wiring sorted so my NAV can work again as they said it takes about 25 working days to bring down from Germany (ridiculous). But my engine stop start is still giving me issues, my wireless app connect doesn't work and my Radio Data system was deactivated. So going to do the same thing you did and tell them that I am not going to take my car back until all my issues are resolved....
Keep pushing bro and don't settle for options that don't meet your expectations. You've been through hell with their current lemon. Complain until your demands are met, even if it means bridging extra baggage to the dealership. PS. A colleague from High School 😁
We need to discuss how to avoid such unforeseen problems for all brand. Because we all assume a brand new car should not give you problems until a certain period.

It sounds like you went through exactly the same thing I went through Muzi, the only difference being my case was stretched over 14 months. I wrote a stinking email to ABSA and CCed VWSA before they stated taking me seriously, because they wanted me to pay for the remaining shortfall. One last thing I can advise with regard to accepting a car without the beasts audio system, if it is anything like Audi’s SONOS audio system, no South African man must be denied a sound system like that 🥹! If you have the time, be a double agent and get another sales guy at a different dealership to look for one without telling him/her what’s happening and you’ll see how quickly the car you want suddenly appears 🤣! That’s how I found my replacement T-Cross R-Line. You deserve a Bells 🍻, and then some; that battle you have fought was not easy. VW Forever! 🙅🏽♂️

Muzi I share your pain. Bought a brand new T-Roc in 2021 when ghey were launched in January. The car that I got was not the car that I OTP'd. No R-line interior, no Beats sound system, no wireless charger, etc. Luckily the dealership refunded me for the accessories that was missing. Sad news now is the facelift T-Roc will be launched soon.
I think the main problem could be this thing of chip shortages and chain supply disruption world wide,this should be an eye opening for the guys who are keen to buy new car in the current market.
nah fam the new gen golf gti also has a problem where the infotainment system does boot somettimes or gets stuck on a bootloop. something is wrong with the software of these cars

So I'm currently going through this, I bought a Nissan magnite. The car became a problem first week I bought it in December, as I write this I'm at Nissan now and it's the 6th time. I had to inconvenience my neighbour to take my son to school. First it was a software, then tracker, they replaced the battery 2 weeks ago. So this video will help me in my pursuit for justice.

Ey Muzi The rline 2022 dasg is overrated or maybe it is the car I was sold by the Halfied Northcliff garage which is faulty or something I am not sure now…Firstly I had problem with EPC light popping on my speedo meter screen and also start/stop system malfunction which also indicated I must start the car manually while only the button is available to start the car…Now One of the fog lights is not functioning well it goes on and off I am not sure what to do coz I did take a car to one of the vehicles dealers for check ups but they said the car is functioning well they didn’t do anything on the car but they will book for the car on the later stage coz it needs a fix…this is a brand new car though
I know a few ladies who drive it in Johannesburg & they haven't had any issues. This is South Africa though, so you must be careful whatever car you drive.

You're really lucky they chose to replace the car plus a cash settlement plus after sales service liaison with the bank and insurance plus a decent courtesy car. Sometimes in life you just have to say THANK YOU instead of going on about how you'd make a better sales man than the dealership warra warra. They went over and beyond I have to say compared to other's. Most dealers would have looked at depreciation straight after you drove off the floor and deducted wear and tear costs.
It's actually been said.. Out of 1000 cars. 10 of them are going to fail and give out problems especially if it's a New Model.. so with your Polo Gti . Theres a possibility you got 1 of the 10 problematic cars

Quick question: If the 9k is exactly what reflects on your OTP, giving you back 9k doesn’t make up for the sound system. You still paying more for it over the contract term in interest?
It's a shame it had to come this but ever since diesel gtate I don't trust this brand anymore. Funny enough I think diesel gate is the cause of these issues. My sister bought a t cross recently and it has an issue of not starting sometimes. It's sad because my mom used to have a golf 2 gti and my uncle had a golf 5 gti and both were dear to me but the build quality these days has dropped like lead in water. VW clearly aren't what they used to be.
