Man, I would love to work for you, is there any way I can send you my resume? My main focus is on IT, but I have had so many different jobs in different industries that it makes it hard to land a job in the IT industry. Either way, if I can just have a way to send you my information and resume it would be extremely appreciated.

Extremely useful video. I struggled with anxiety and depression from age 17 to 20. The darkest 3 years of my life.I still remember how paralyzed I was with the fear of what's going to happen in the future & felt guilty of my past. A life changing moment was reading the book "Feel The Fear And Do it Anyway" - by Susan Jeffers. It was the trigger I needed in life and the start of my journey towards self awareness. Highly recommended.

I hope you reach that point long before I did. 100% you will look back at this time and appreciate it - even as every painful and lonely it feels like. @@benweiss5539 everyone is barely figuring it out at that age. Find someone that has achieved what you want to achieve and model them. We have RU-vid and books full of different people. 23 was really hard for me and I had no role model. Every day I was figuring it out and had to make my own decisions. Be around people that are older than you - that helps. They made mistakes and can advise. Look after your health as well - it keeps your mind stable so you can make those right decisions. Head up, make those decisions, and if it felt like it was a 'wrong' decision, don't worry, learn from it and move forward.

As soon as you said that depression is worrying about the past and anxiety is worrying about the future, I started crying. No one has ever described it better. Saying that you can't control the past or the future, but that you can definitely control the present really put things into perspective for me. It really is the only thing I have control over, which is exactly why I should be happy about it. I'm not in danger. I have people and things to be grateful for. They would never want to see me suffer like this. They would tell me to take care of my health, which is exactly why I'll talk to my doctor about this and try to fix it. I've recently fainted and hit my head against the wall thanks to overwhelming levels of stress and anxiety. It's never happened before. People, this is not something you should take for granted. Your body will remember it. Please take care of yourselves and practice self love, no matter how hard it might be in the beginning. And thank you, Patrick, for making this video. It helped calm my panic attack.

The paramedics said all my vitals whir perfect .I didn’t believe them so I went to emergency room .they told me same thing . I recently battled covid 19 and was extremely ill while going threw a divorce and being taken care of by mother who is older and I believed could die if I give it to her while I was recovering at work my close friend and boss was murdered .and leading to her funeral all must have contributed to my panic attacks I’m still super anxious but with tears in my eyes as I write this I thank you so much I thought I was weak for this but seeing who you have become makes me feel strong and able to get threw this thank you and god bless.

Thank you for this video in particular. This is a subject oft-glossed over, the focus tends to be on creating success, forgetting that not all of the time is spent in a feeling of drive and elation. To notice when breathing becomes shallow is important, then making a conscious effort to perform deep breaths all the way through the lungs. One more point to be aware of is identifying self neglect/abuse through anxiety or depression - biting fingers and restless fidgeting being more minor expressions of this. I've found taking ~7 minutes away from the keyboard - not smoking - to often be enough to soothe the nerves. Once again, I really appreciate your desire to share your experience and time in these videos, as I'm sure many others do.

Easy to understand but yet realizes how stressful life is in the many facets of modern human existence. Patrick lists, show, and gives examples of how to overcome these from within and the power of empathy which I believe for most people is hard to slow down and see when anxiety is happening. Thank you so much for sharing this message. I have taken it upon myself to speak more openly and vulnerably with the community that has surrounded me and using my platform to enrich other peoples lives in a similar fashion to how you are doing it. I have felt this anxiety build up in me as an athlete, a martial arts teacher and school operator, a boyfriend, a son, and especially as an entrepreneur....This is maybe the most important message I could take away as an entrepreneur because unless we resolve these core issues within ourselves all the business tactics lack our full conviction over the long term because we just burn ourselves out from self inflicted exhaustion... Much appreciated!

Hi and thank you so much for your video! I suffer from depression AND from anxiety. I did all my best to free myself from suffering (pills, doctors, yoga, meditation, exercises, better food, etc.) but I feel that something’s still “missing” in my brain/heart (I’ve had a very difficult childhood) because I keep living the same, old stuff over and over. Just to give you an example, a few weeks ago I decided to plan a one week holiday in London with my husband. We went there but the second night and the morning after I felt so bad (panick attack) that we had to come back home. I feel this is a huge disability and sometimes I’d prefer to disappear from the face of this earth!

You are soooooo right about "circumstances matter". I try so hard not to say "Oh, if I was them, I'd do this better." because I know that other people who say that about me... it hurts because it makes you feel like a failure, but reality is they are not you and you are not them! So nobody can ever say that they would have done things better than you and you can also not say that about others. Circumstances matter! Don't let their criticism go into your brain and poison you. If you let it affect you... you allow it to happen. Just don't allow negative things to affect you.

Thank you patrick !!! This video helped me a lot i was dealing with anxiety and was thinking that i was depressed and that i was losing my mind and becoming crazy i was really scared and feeling guilt towards my parent for letting them endure this . Your video did help a lot especially with ‘ you’re depressed when you’re in the past ., anxious when you’re in the future ‘

You have no idea how much I needed to hear this! I can't thank you enough for this valuable information. I have just started a new business and it seems to have triggered severe anxiety and panic attacks. I've really been struggling because I thought I was alone, I felt ashamed and weak because of the constant emotional turmoil I'm in. But this video has helped me understand that my feelings are ok and that I can regain control. Thank you so very much xx

Thanks Patrick. Very useful information. I had a lot of issues with stress too. Two things I found very effective: swimming and sound therapy. Pills are only helping in a short term. Best is to keep mind busy away from negative thoughts. Looking back. First important step was to acknowledge the problem. No one really likes to talk about health.
