How To Deal With People Who Try To Be Superior To You 

People are only thinking about themselves that's why they like acting superior. They are more self important because they are insecure and so into their ego . They need to act superior to boost their self-esteem. Confidence is about having high self-esteem and being nice and humble.

To anyone who is being bullied (either a child or an adult), I give you this advice: If at all possible, avoid these people like the plague, because that's exactly what they are. The day will come when they will have to answer for their evil words and deeds.

I had people at college do this me when in fact they don't have any business telling me I'm not good enough when they had more problems than me to begin with talk about hypocritical.

Everyone is in the same boat and we all need salvation from superiority, ego, selfishness and all of this dont think you are better and that others are worse this is the trap that is hardest to avoid because only God can root out our pride, just be humble and no one can be superior to you. You need to be humble, not a slave of people, you need to submit to God(Jesus Christ)He will set you free from people

Its funny how I have a family member who does that to me almost every time in a family gathering, not because he's smarter than me or richer than me, only because he is older than me smh.. It sounds ridiculous but ever since when we were child, he had been trying to make himself superior than me and that 'he's smarter than me'. But as I grew older, I realized that people who have properly educated and mature shouldn't even care about these type of people. They act like that because they have low self-esteem that's it. So I actually pity them so much..

People who think they are superior, are probably dealing with their own problems, and they think by acting like they have more power will give them supporters and respect.

Great advise and Great explanation. I personally know many people like this. For one reason or another, they choose me to try to berate in front of mutual friends. At first, I thought as though there was something wrong with me, but as I looked closer at the situation I truly believe they are actually threatened by me and are also jealous. The one particular person I'm speaking of hates the fact that I am employed where I work. I'm not conceded in any way whatsoever but I know he knows that I'm much more attractive and way more fit than he is. He's essentially an adult bully. Im not close friends with him but we all get together a few times a year as a group of 12. As we share these same mutual friends, I don't ever see him acting this way towards anyone else but me. Whenever I say something, he's always right there with a condescending comment to rebut anything that I may say, no matter what it is that I may say. Its rather annoying really, but now that I've learned it is not I with the problem rather a problem he has within; I feel a lot better. He still never lets down on me, but I've learned to tune him out to be honest.

I have a family member that was convinced that I was inferior due to the amount of money I made compared to themselves. The energy was so strong coming off of them when speaking to me that I had to cut all contact in order to break away. This was almost a year ago and my life has become peaceful and positive. Took years for me to realize what was making me so uncomfortable around them.

My former best friend had a serious superiority complex. He was very inconsiderate and did stuff that effected me negatively. Any time I asked him to stop, it was like pulling teeth with him. But even after we reached a compromise, he would turn the situation into a penis-measuring contest. He would say or do something to assert his so-called dominance. Eventually I got so sick of it that I just cut him out of my life. Anyways, thanks for this video. It helped a lot

My situation is different because the person who has been treating me condescendingly is of a HIGHER class than I, makes MORE money, and just overall has a better life. Yet, every chance she gets she makes these comments to me to make me feel even more less of a human than I already do despite me being polite nonstop towards her and her mother (who is a whole other issue).... I need to know how to get her to kind of back off with the rudeness.. I can't ignore her and I can't tell her off as she's my bf's sister and we live in her house atm.. This is taking a toll on my mental health. Can anyone help me?

It amazes me how people think they're smarter than everyone else's and can manipulate people. They will tell you other people are trying to control your life when they're the ones that want to manipulate and control your life.🙄smh

I recently exploded on someone with a superiority complex because they just had a habit of not backing down. But I still felt awful and guilty about it afterwards, and utterly low, because *I* overreached to challenge him (I felt like the bully there). I felt like I just was always going to wreck everything. I just wish I knew how to deal with such people in a way that didn't end like this or turn me into this.

usually when someone try to be more superior to me, like underestimating my intelligence ... they always come to me with those stupid riddles for me to solve, trying to tell me how smart I actually am... but I don't play their game anymore, because that's their way of acting like they are more superior to me.

This is why it is good to know the word of god and self help books so that you are ready to handle these people. I deal with a lot of people like this. If my confidence is low that day it affects me

I hate dealing with this shit every single week day at work. Thinking about it in between. My coworkers, my boss. It’s a fucking ego orgy. It’s ridiculous. I really feel outside of it all. I just started there a few months ago and it’s starting to feel very toxic. I dunno what to do.

So if you do just as they suggest ....because they know the right way to do everything ...all is well ....but if you decline to go along with their life plan for you...well, God help you! An older adult member of my congregation attempts to interact with me like this all the time. Like she feels she is my big sister....Please! I am 69 yrs old and perfectly capable to running my own life with God's help...not yours!!!!!
