Best tutorial I've seen on this. There are a lot of videos on this subject. But I hadn't found one that laid it all down this simply with the least amount of steps. Two thumbs up!

Thanks for the very clear tutorial! Learned a couple new things :) Also just in case you're not aware, you can Alt + click on a a layer's eyeball for a quick way of only seeing that layer, and Alt + click again to bring back all the previous visible layers, just another handy time saver.

Just starting out and this is by far one of the best videos I have found. Nowhere shows how to do color sep pre-purchase of expensive software. This is want a beginner needs to see!

You can Uncheck Continuous box when you select a color with magic wand so you do not need to right click and select similar. Sorry for my poor English.

Appreciate the video! Though I do have a couple of question's! Does copying the colours to a new layer require the image to be rasterized? and does that mean the image won't be vector/ re-scaleable when it comes to printing it for exposure?

Can you help me? I've split a layer in to 3 equal sections using the guide layout option. How do I now fill each designated section with a separate colour without changing the colour of the entire layer. I'm a complete newbie to Photoshop.

Each layer with the eye showing on the layer panel will print. Turn off layers you do not wish to print to print one color layer at a time.

Do i need to use stroke on every color if printing on white shirt?

I think if you unchecked "Contiguous" for the magic eraser you could skip hollowing out all the letters. Little time-saver, especially if the graphic is way more complex :P

New to screen printing. This video helped me tremendously. Question though. How do you use the registration marks. Did a test screen and obviously the registration marks were burnt in and ink flows through. What's the process for using them and not burning them into the screen?

I have PhotoShop elements 13 and when trying to size my photo it giving me different numbers on top every time I type 300. For instance ill put in say 13 by 10 the go to put in 300 and it turns my height to like 6.8in. And width to like3. I'm going click for click but my program isn't cooperating. Please heeeeelllp

Thank you this is awesome. One of my week points. What if you want to only print two of the colors. Maybe the white hand and tea bag are the color of the t-shirt.Lets say you want to make sure the red or blue doesn't bleed over. Would you stroke the Red and Blue so the cross over the white and don't leave a gap. Guess I'm really asking if you have lets say a border. Would you put a stroke on one so they choke? Hope I'm asking this right.

how would you label the different colors on films are you printing positives opaque or with halftones.

Great. I'm a newbies here in photo shop. Been printing T-shirt but all my design was done and printed in a computer shop and not on my own thing. I want to paint the multi colored design of Bob marley's one album cover, but i cannot edit the raw photo from google direct to PS just like what you did,, what should I do?

so i've tried separating colors from my design more than once. I created the file on illustrator and then tried separating the colors on photoshop. Everything goes well except for the fact that the colors in my design never touch. There's always a gap (shows the checkered background) between the colors. Any help? Desperate here

hi i has tested it is done ok but problem is from the print machine i has test to one home made hp f2180 but the film not print good can me tell wich print can print good the film? i see more using the epson but are very expensive know if there are a print a4 can make a film ? and is good use only the waterproof inkjet? another ask is if i can print nothing use the rip softwore to only this process using only photoshop cs6 thanks and great video process is very sample and i has understand all step by step perfectly just mistake is for the print i has a find one good for the film transparency
