What's your experience? Have you used this, or any other AI tools to speed up your literature searches?

Bing with GPT4 enabled. Does life e web searches instead of just the compiled data straight GPT works with, and always automatically cites its sources when you cut and paste its output elsewhere. At least that's my experience with the Bing Android app.

@@1WhoConquers thanks , I do need to give it a try. Quite a few people told me about Bing. I was initially (I mean years ago) put off Bing, but it looks like it embraced the AI functionality and became a completely different, and better tool

Be careful with Bard, It has lots of uses and its amongst my key AI's to use. However, I asked it if there are there any studies which investigate the relationship between the construct and theory I am studying for my PhD - which basically there are not - and it interestingly provided me with the title of an extended abstract of a paper I wrote a year ago for a research study day, but attributing it to two other studies. Key thing is that its a great tool, but not to take the results it provides as gospel.

Wow, this is pretty crazy!! you are right, this shows that all these things should always be double and triple checked, and we cannot rely on it. It's like when I used ChatGPT for coding and asked it to come up with themes, etc. Then , I asked it to give me a quote for each theme (I had previously uploaded interview transcripts to it), and it gave me some nice quotes but I couldn't locate any of them in the text. When I asked ChatGPT, it said it just made up the quotes lol

Hy there. Just had a concern. I am also using Bard/Gemini for my literature review. I am asking specifc question and it is giving me relevant details with intext citation along with page numbers of the retrieved text. I am not directly copy pasting the text but understanding the text and writing on my own way. Is it ethical?

sounds like nothing wrong with what you are doing at all, you are just using the tool to explore the literature more effectively and then you are doing the rest of the work
