Very well done man. Awesome method and technique. Well put together and Professional video. Also, your attention to detail is rare. Keep up the good work.

Will Stamm, great toturial! watching this really made the fading process become seamless and dummy proof. keep the videos coming man, your an amazing teacher
hi ive been a barber since the age of 18 and i am now 42, i left the trade at the age of 28 and went into a different field .today i own my own salon and its 5years years old . I am struggling with my fades and i am at the point of just giving up bcos it was so damn easy for me to do fades i was pretty good at it but today i suck.Your haircut reminds me of how i faded hair the end result and i never even used the number 0 or 3.16 comb .Great job brother keep it up
Watching your videos have helped my inspiration to become a Barber! You are knowledgeable and you are a good teacher who explains the HOW & the WHY.... Please come back and do some more. Much appreciated !!!
you are the man Will. beginner barber. watching your vids has made me confident. The dollar way is easier. never thought of it like that. money makes sense . money is time. time is money.
Will I am truly enjoying your tutorials, I have not been able to achieve a Bald Fade I have 3 months of school left. When I found your tutorial I liked it right away. You make it so simple to understand and I was taking notes, I don't feel intimidated and will be referring to your video everyday until I master this Bald fade monster. Thank you for making it plain and simple to understand.
Will, you are a true professional and a great teacher, best tutorial on RU-vid I have run across. I used this step by step tutorial to cut my own hair and did a pretty good job on my first try, but I know I will get better. I know have the confidence I can do it. Keep up the great work!
I used to use the same technique accept I only put in one line (bald line) and faded down. I lost my technique watching other videos, this put me back on game!! Great video. I just have to watch it a couple more times and I am back in there.
Loved this video Will! You're one of the best teachers I've seen because you're able to use real world examples like the money example in reference to the notches on the lever. I also really love your X motion technique. I've never seen it before, yet it seems to be much more effective at ensuring you don't create extra lines of demarcation. I really like the elevator up, steps downward technique as well because it ensures the blend doesn't go too high. I appreciate ya talking us through the cut so we get a glimpse at the methodical approach you take. There are so many little things that the average person might not pick up on if there were no explanation. Lastly, I was curious at what age you realized barbering was what you wanted to do with your life?
@@WillStamm I can't wait for your next video I saw the picture on Instagram and it was amazing. The style is really rare on RU-vid. Sir i am from Nigeria. I would really like to have a closer relationship with you Sir.
The best instructional video I've seen hands down! I'm a Barber in training and this has helped tremendously! I'll be making a trip to ATL very soon, it's my second home, we must connect. God bless!
Thank you for this video... very helpful and instructional. I cut this type hair very often and rhis is a great help. I hope to meet you some day dude. Excellent
nice ... only the magic clips the wahl outliners n the Andis t-out liner i'm impressed u explained/ showed ya steps perfectly i learned a lot thanks on the money can't wait to see another new cut 💯✌
Thanks man! I made up in my mind that this is the technique that I will be using from here on out! Just gotta use it repetitiously until it becomes second nature, along with having the barber's eye.
I’m late on your channel bro. People learn differently and as myself I don’t take instructions like most do but using the example for taking the elevator and walking the stairs is brilliant. You should get a patreon my man.. 💰
great work ethic and everything now all i need or the rest of us viewers need is a tape up video and a mohawk because i have learn so much from the videos that will has made in feeling great thanks again will your great keep up the good work
Been waiting for this video thanks a lot this is Another one of your great videos this time with the wahl clippers and guards update from the detachable RU-vid video you made before awesome. Don't stop teaching us this trade your a great teacher and we really appreciate thanks.
all I can say is thank God for you..... you are really explaining what when and why without all that aggravating music and i just want to hear the clippers cut and see the cut without fast forwarding...... this is great just fkn great.... please do more......I need to figure out how to taper in the back and sides please help and I'm subscribing now.......
I am curious to know why anyone would thumbs down this video. I am currently attending Tribeca Barbering School in Rego Park Queens (NYC). They deemed me, (Mel Tha Barber), and I can honestly say that even though my Teachers are great at detailing our work they dont break it down like this. I've watch hundreds of videos like this from Chris Bossio, Chuka tha Barber, 360 Jezzy, and one of my O.G's Snead Tha Barber. All are pretty amazing but none are as detailed as this video. I give this 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾 thank you and please continue to give us more detailed insight like such. Its greatly appreciated.
This video right here just taught me so much much appreciated thank you was going to if you can do a video with a 5 star shaver to show how to get that line out I'm having trouble with that please
As usual, You attacked that thang wit’ surgical precision. I use the “‘Majic Clips” often, but the Oster 76 happens to be my favorite. However, a “Master Barber” must be proficient with every tool. Salute!!! I see that You like the 000 on the bald before the too!!🧐 I often use a 0000 or 00000 with criss cross or circular motion to take the line out. Stamm the Man!!! Hey I graduate Barber College this week Friday. They said I could finish 4 weeks earlier due to my skill level. So thanks again for showing Me what the tapering comb is really used for ,and how to translate the measurements of the blade from machine to machine.
WILL, you are what I consider the best teacher and barber I have seen while searching for fade videos, kudos to you sir. Also, any chance you can give us a full taper video? I resonate with your technique best and I am not in your area otherwise I would definitely pay for 1-on-1 workshops
+Chris S. Thank you sir! What exactly do you mean by full taper? What type of cut.. Temple taper, low taper? Fading and tapering principles are similar ..
Hey Will thanks for your reply, I was hoping for a mid taper/temple taper the one that balds out from the top ear corner to just above the eyebrow and below the hairline box.....sorry if I don't make sense, but would like to see if the fading guidelines transfer over to a shorter canvas like a taper?
+Chris S. Gotcha I be doing more videos soon... For me tho I just pay a nice amount of money to produce the videos in quality and RU-vid doesn't pay nearly enough to cover.... So I basically take a loss to help others ... I don't mind but I'm not in a rush to put them out... But I will soon enough for sure!
Will, thanks for the clarification. I don't think we as subscribers understand how much work goes into these lesson plans, but I am extremely grateful you doing this pro bono! Good karma coming your way my friend, god bless
Great video! I've been trying to fade my own hair. Any advice or tips for using the comb when doing your own hair? I noticed it's hard to incorporate the comb when doing it myself.
Man your awesome at taking your time and keeping it professional at all time. thanks . When you get time can you do a taper using the wahls magic clippers and these guards. thank you
Thank you for for this tutorial. How does this system translate to shorter or higher lengths on top? Would you lower the lengths used to fade or raise the lengths depending on the length on top?
good video will enjoyed the way u explained it in money terms ! also if possible when u have time ofcourse do a bald fade tutorial for straight hair !?
I just realized that i wasted my money when i did the course,..i wish i could have found this video first. Thanks for the instruccion and clear way to explain . Keep it up.
+Carolina W thank you and your welcomed... I think there can be a tremendous value in attending classes, problem is everyone thinks they are a teacher... and they Aren't giving people valuable content
are any of these methods changed/effected when cutting waves? apart from cutting them out (cutting too short) what are ways you can accidentally mess someones waves up as a barber?
