Thanks Paul! Haha I swear to you that I already recorded and done. I was thinking to release it next week, but I won’t cause I don’t want back to back “backhand” related videos So 2 weeks from now!

Welcome back and many thanks for sharing your helpful tipps again. ;-) They are very helpful and I`m looking forward to every new tutorial. Stay healthy.
Hi George :) Glad to hear you liked the video :) Robot / drop and hit method is good to practice. As well as little physical exercise to strengthen your core will do as good as being on the table
Hi there , Thanks a lot for your help it helped a lot ! I'm a tall player 198 cm (6'4) and alway played since my 16 (first table). After a long life travelling at 39 I decided to settle in New Calédonia (French paradise Island in the pacific). Unfortunatly there is no coach around here and Im struglling to improve... Do you have some tips for tall players ? I think my best shot is my serve as I can do pendulum reverse pendulum hammer and many fast and short serves. My weakness been the forehand topspin (what an hell shot to master for me ! )... Thanks again for all your work and help! Lucas
God damn you're tall haha If you reach is long then become more of a forehand player. Start practicing even attacking balls that are short / medium length because you will get that timing of contact a lot faster than a shorter person as you can really reach to the ball as it bounces. I know that you struggle with that, but if you change your mindset and approach to training then you will see fast improvements. Just have the backhand as a standard backhand, but for 70-80% of the table use your forehand. Use your feet to move for the ball in the middle / BH area and kill the rally with 1 shot. Be a ruthless attacker :)
Good to see you're back, excellent video. My biggest fault was the striking point on the rubber, have to hit when the wrist is at maximum speed, so low point on the rubber for topspin.
Bad leg usage bro...if the ball is coming into the left hip n your batt is skew to the left..use the left leg.....if it comes on yr center...then your way is correct....sorry bro...try harder..keep it up...good graphic again
Ah!! Round 2 ha!! Good to hear from you! In this case yeah I should of mentioned both! This is what the Chinese players train and as living / training there in my career I molded into it. For them footwork is needed, but the highest and most important point is the hip. For them its ALL about the HIP sharpness because they believe in a high pace rally close to the table your top body reactions are quicker than lower. Lower body part reacts to receive the ball, but it does not react in its follow through as "natural" as top part of your body. I did what I knew and how to explain, however yeah the left leg should of been mentioned :)
Eddie excuse me can i make a complain aboat this video You dont show the movement of the wrist or am i wrong Please show the movenent of the wrist in advanced backhand topspin in another video
Yeah, I should of shown "more" wrist concept into this technique. My worries were that people would over use the wrist AND then lose the whole quality cause of it. The way I use arm and body just shows HOW much quality you can put in. Without using "faster" equipment, going gym or even using wrist. This technique will be more than enough to counter a long top / side spin ball. However, if you get a backspin ball you do need more wrist, but at the same time it is a different technique like your racket should be more in front / lower of your body :) Great comment, and yeah a bit of wrist would of perfected the video more :) But, not the most important concept as the HIP or arm starting position :)
