We are going to be showing you some ground stretches. So first stretch we are going to put our both legs out, like this, and we're going to go down, come up and maybe add like a little twist. Maybe I might do that four to eight times. So we're going to go one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight. After you do that a couple of times warming up, now you go down for the stretch. You try to grab your toes and try to keep your upper body low as you can and maybe forward again 10 to 30 seconds and up.
If you guys have a little trouble doing this exercise, again, you can start out grabbing the ankles or you can tuck your knees in, grab your toes and slowly work down this way and hold. OK? It takes time.
Now the other stretch we are going to do is we are going to put one leg in and one leg out. Keep your upper body straight and try to stretch down. Try to put your head to your knees and go as low as you can. Again, hold about 10 to 30 seconds, come up and switch to the other side and down and up.
The next stretch we are going to do is called the butterfly stretch. We are going to put our knees together. One. Now make sure you put your feet all the way in like this. I like to grab my toes and bounce my knees like a butterfly. So do this again maybe 10 to 30 times, bounce, warming up. Now it's time to go down. We're going to keep our backs straight and exhale and breathe down, going down, breathing out. Now up.
Now we're going to do this thing called a split stretch. Now we're going to open our legs as wide as you can. Now, again, I like to maybe open a little wider by putting my hands forward and hands back and then kind of push my hip forward, trying to get as much as you can. Now the first thing we're going to do is stretch down the middle. So we're going to go down, one. Now, again, you're trying to go as low as you can, trying to keep your stomach to the ground. Again, hold about 10 to 30 seconds. Up. Go to the side. Use your hands and try to grab your toes. Up. Go to the other side. And these are some ground stretches. I encourage you guys to stretch before, definitely before class, and also when your body is really warmed up, it's great to stretch after class also.

You can still do taekwondoe it's just your body isn't used to those positions. Trust me, you will get better at it as you train yourself to do these stretches.

Same it’s been 4 years since I left taekwondo, pretty sure my friends are black belts now in my home country. My rank was blue belt at that time before I left to Canada. I missed those days and I’m going to do a taekwondo workout this year in the last day of school because, y’know, projects and final tests and all.

Wow, that brought back memories of when I took Ti Kwon Do lessons a a teen ! (I am 62 now) and I did these exercises to the Tee ! No pain, no gain attitude ! And after a short while, I could do a split ! And I kicked higher, and better than anyone in the class ! 90° side kicks ! Follow this routine faithfully, and you will be amazed !!! 😁👍

time to work it people I am 60 years old I've been doing karate and Taekwondo for about 3 years and it did take a while but I can do the split stretch and touch my nose to the ground at times takes a while but you can work it

These are what I used to do when I used to do tae kwon do now I do it to stay fit so wanted to brush up on the exercises. I was never that limber but watching him touch his head to his knees gave me the heebie jeebies that's gotta hurt. Especially when he was laying doing the split. Ouch. They are very stretchy!

I'm 13 and currently interesting in learning tae kwon do, i might try joining tae kwon do classes on summer but i'm trying to learn on my own for now, and lemme tell you. I'm not flexible 😂 i can't even do any of these correctly but i'll try i guess

Train hard and go berserk on your bully, no mercy. He won't be ready for it. You will win if you go all out. You have to go from 0 to 100 instantly when you decide to attack or to defend yourself.

I'm also gonna attend tkwd to intimidate them. I'm not gonna attack though. Only if they attack first since in my country you have to sign a contract that if you use your strength anywhere outside training or tournaments, you'll be thrown out.

Ik how to do it when im doing taekwondo when its not quarantined so like its been weeks and a month on quarantine today and i literally forgot how to do the stretchings on taekwondo and btw thanks my black belt is now relaxing on quarantine of getting used on taekwondo tournaments 😂

I guess I really need to get into like stretching and yoga because my body is really stiff and my back isn’t really straight. Does anybody have suggestions what should I do as a beginner?

You just keep it up. Go as far as your body allows you to right before it hurts and hold it there for a few deep breaths when your more relaxed feeling on an exhale stretch deeper just a little and hold that for some time. After some weeks you'll be able to go further and further. Be patient and consistant

So basicly i left doing karate(shotokan/kyokushin black belt) for about 6 years and i wanted to do return back to it but i can baraly get past my knees(used to do knuckle standing holds for hamstings) and i thou teakwondo is usualy more strechy then us karate kas and here i am i hope this gona help me with my kicks

Hi and gane. This sport called Taekwondo, but it has got lots of different clothing and different forms with different movements. About 22 years ago my teacher gave me yellow belt and then I left that country and he told me that the clothing for our school is black V neck and white top and bottom, while belts are in different colour and our system is called poomsae only (poomsae). I want to restart, but I am confused which one to use as to be accordingly to my yellow belt as there are lots of usfule lessons on youtube. Thanks.

hi I'm paual mom Taekwondo is mostly leg based, but your teacher will teach you different punching techniques as well. In tournaments when you spar with an opponent different types of kicks are more expected of you than punches.

Randomly Overpowered Eh not fart, you can hear it other times too, its the ground. The gi is usually made of a thick material.
