Can u imagine how freaking *cool* Elvis was at the time?! He was hot, a good singer, had so much talent it literally shook outta him-and always in a manly, smooth kinda way, and to top it off Elvis was FUNNY. He was so popular - he was god-like. EVERYONE knew Elvis. Everyone. From children to great grandparents. ELVIS was everywhere.

Not to mention that this kind of stuff was new to everyone, and the dancing especially. Some considered it scandalous. He had a huge impact on not just music. And others like the Beatles were just had huge impacts

Elvis was and still is a guy that the girls want to be with and guys want to be but funnily enough, he wasn't popular in high school for the very reasons that make him an enduring force in music to this day. Elvis dyed his hair which wasn't something guys in his time ever did nor did they embrace any type of femininity such as wearing pink, even wearing mascara, and thus making androgyny sexy so he was that misunderstood social outcast labeled a loner focused on music. Can you imagine what he must've felt when he went back to his hometown and 20,000 teenagers showed up? What do they say about success being the best form of revenge?

This is actually considered as the world's 1st music video. It was in a scene in the movie Jailhouse Rock. It gave MTV the idea to do music videos starting in the '80's. The 1st song I heard of Elvis is ALL SHOOK UP. It ranks right up there with Heartbreak Hotel, Love Me Tender, Jailhouse Rock, Teddy Bear, Hound Dog, Suspicious Minds, Don't Be Cruel and many more. Another multi million selling hit as well as # 1 on the charts. There's a long, long list of greatest hits from Elvis. Good Luck Charm, Are You Lonesome Tonight, Polk Salad Annie!!!!!!!
@davidcohen4536
@davidcohen4536 3 года назад
The very first song I heard Elvis sing was “Heartbreak Hotel” in 1956. I was hooked. When we watched Elvis on the Ed Sullivan Show they would only show him from the waist up. Needless to say that made him more intriguing. I was fortunate to be on the ground floor when the transition was made from R & B to rock n roll. There is absolutely no music artist with the charisma of the likes of Elvis Presley..

Not excusing stupid KKK fools. Look how they treated Elvis when he became famous. Elvis was poorer than the most poor individuals in third world country''s. Elvis could have just gave up and never became anything. He could have played the victim card. He was an outsider growing up. Elvis worked hard to succeed in life. He thought differently and people liked him cause he treated everyone with respect and dignity. Same with Stevie. Stevie started off way younger than Elvis. Blind and all. He had a sense of purpose. Stevie can see more than most people with all senses. It's what's you do. Nobody holds you back. I'm a big fan of Stevie.

The "video" was the song presentation scene from the movie of the same name, with a male chorus added for the film (not on the record release) mostly mixed out except at the end. For instance, if you just watch the movie as it normally is, the scene opens with the chorus chanting, "One, two, one, two-two, one, two, one, two-two..." before Elvis starts to sing.

Not exactly. Alex Romero was the choreographer for the movie and that particular musical performance. He said "Elvis, what I'm going to do is I'm going to go home tonight and I'm going to take what you do and work it into the routine, and it's going to be you, what you normally feel comfortable doing onstage, but I'm going to choreograph it." There is an exception to Elvis L lip syncing live on stage. If you look at the 68 comeback show. The final song in the show was Elvis in His white coat and slacks suit singing “If I Can dream. There is a segment that was shot with Elvis on stage in the black leather suit, and he is performing If I Can Dream,, if you watch his mouth toward the end of the song, what you hear is says the answer with come SOMEHOW , but his lips are saying SOMEWHERE. The song was recorded only one take and it was done live in the white suit. He is lip syncing in the black suit on this song. Check it out and let me know if you see it.

This was from the movie Jailhouse Rock (1957). While his character was in prison he decided he wanted to become a singer when he got out. The scene you see actually was his character performing on tv. Here is the scene from the movie where it began: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-MfrC8PAQtlg.html
