The difference is Elvis Presley never courted, wanted, accepted that was king of anything. Elvis Presley rejected the title of "king" and told his fans so from the stage while he acknowledged Jesus Christ as the only true king.

The voice is unique and pretty special too. Physical beauty was a piece of it. Most people over the decades comment that Elvis makes you truly feel what he is singing. That is what made him special. Remember, he did age and gain weight. People still showed up because his voice did not fail him.

There is no contest between Elvis and MJ. Elvis excelled. He didn't just do R & R superbly -- many many genres. MJ did not. Elvis had so much in his talent, charisma arsenal.

Michael Jackson has a lot going for him as an entertainer but not as versatile a voice. He is a pop singer. Also, MJ didn’t have a cadence like Elvis which really adds to his many genres and Elvis is still the standard by which others are measured, every few years there’s another artist being compared to Elvis.

Michael Jackson had to give himself the title of “king of pop” and then contractually make certain that he would be called that. In comparison, Elvis was bestowed the title “King of Rock & Roll” by his fans and fellow artists. That is a huge difference. Look at the number of Halls of Fame that Elvis has been inducted into and you will see that nobody comes close in talent and versatility as an entertainer.

When people called him The King, he would say "No! Jesus is King!" I'm not religious, but I feel like that is a testament to his humility. Drugs were his downfall, and like many before him, he got hooked thinking it was ok because it was "Doctor prescribed".

Michael Jackson cannot compete with The King (of music); Elvis' range and versatility was so amazing, Jackson's voice is so squeaky (one dimensional and choreographed dancing)...Elvis sang Rock and Roll, Rythm and Blues, Country, Gospel and everything else...60 years later the world is still going crazy about Elvis' voice, charisma, stage presence 🤔everything...Michael Jackson ia NOT close to being in "the same league" as a matter of FACT; no one else is, period!

This special gives the viewer excellent insight as to who and what Elvis Presley was. A very compassionate man that loved to make people happy! Known for giving cars away to strangers. Gave a Dimond ring off of his hand to a fan that admired it.Loved to play around with fans! Demanded that his employees be kind and respectful to his fans saying; "Those cats put me ON this hill!"

How Elvis was/could go from smooth to like suddenly kick into higher gear or higher voice, while still keeping the tune in his voice. So like when he changed the pace or volume of the song it didn't sound like he was just shouting, you still had the tune in his voice Such ability & talent.

The world called Elvis the king of rock . The world had no title for jacko...so HE made one up and called himself the" king of pop" .That is A TRUE story . He then had his P.R. people spread it out there and kept doing it until it stuck. Bottom line if there hadn't been Elvis there would've been no Beatles , and that's a direct quote from John Lennon. No Beatles sure as hell no jackson. End of story.

you don't have to big Elvis up by putting Jackson down. both amazing artists in different ways. Elvis is pure raw emotion and charisma and natural talent and what we're s. Jackson was an extremely skilled polished performer who made the very most of his talents. what I would say with Elvis is he should have worked on his musicianship ensured he got better songs and production rather the the run of the mill Hill and Range songs

This was probably the hardest segment of the show for him to do! He was so full of energy, he couldn't just sit there and sing...and he didn't, he stood up. The guitar didn't have a strap, but that didn't stop him. At one point, the guitar came unplugged, so he did another round. ELVIS 69 COMEBACK SPECIAL is a show you should watch.
