Your method works, dear! Was at a conference recently and received tons of compliments to the effect of, "You look so ELEGANT!" My response often included the phrase, "Let me tell you about my friend, Anna..." 😁❤🙏🏻 Thank you!
Cracking up, because I watch both of your channels!! I have noticed you looking more elegant & feminine on your channel lately PN, but didn't realize you were watching Anna too. I'm in good company- says another Tn. Mountain gal. 😉
I believe elegance is a simple mix between wearing the clothes you truly feel comfortable in and making that they're appropiate for the places you go to or events you attend.
As someone who grew up with “rocker” parents, rock music always playing etc, I’ve found this video so helpful! Because I consider the whole “rock” kinda vibe part of me but I also love elegance so I love how you advocate individual styles. I’ve now learnt how to wear slightly ‘edgier’ clothing that fits my personality whilst maintaining elegance. Thanks Anna for thinking of all types of women!
Wish I had this in my late teens/early twenties. I went through so many stages that didn’t feel comfortable. Finally found my niche around age 24/25 and learned that I feel most comfortable in a cross between elegant classic and classic feminine. As always, great video.
Me too! There was a reason why some girls felt confident with super tight skinny jeans and I didn’t. I hated people looking at my butt. But I thought that was the only style I could or would ever feel beautiful in because it was so in style at my high school. Wrong... I love being girly and feminine and modest. Rather than tight skinny jeans, I wear pencil trousers or linen pants now and I feel confident and safe
I'm 64, happily married for 41 years and just now trying to find my classic. Raised 2 children and now living in Florida, I finally have time to focus on myself. Anna, I thank you for all your tips. God bless you.
Dear Anna. ❤️. Yes. This is not discussed enough. And then on top of figuring out our particular type of elegant style, we have to incorporate our body types. And then our coloring. I wish you would come to NYC, when things open up. We would love to meet you. We need help in this very confusing City.
Random Girl I know. But, you are completely missing my point. My point is that it is a lot of info to put all together, for some of us. No worries. Anna always understands my point. Thankfully ❤️❗️
If youre in the city, look up David Kibbe. Hes a professional stylist that does consultations. He has a book called Metamorphosis, its about finding your body type not on pears and apples, but based on old hollywood glam style. My sister saw him for a style/shopping/color/makeup consult; i 100% recommend!
I’m a mixture of several styles😂🤣When I go to work, I’ll only wear elegant classic, but when I’m not working, I dress accordingly to different events, but is a mixture of flamboyant, fashionista and feminine seductive. 🤣🤣🤣
I love the last one! I realised I don't take myself seriously enough and that's why I've been dressing so 'boyishly' and not for my age nor body. Time to upgrade my wardrobe to the elegant feminine girly style :)
Same here! My body can't handle any plastic/artificial materials so I only want natural fabrics. But it's difficult to find nice dresses and top that's not Polyester, even higher end brands :(
Try to find rayon. Its also an affordable fabric, but made of natural fibers and the different grades can look like the different textures of polyester. Otherwise, secondhand/thrifted is the way to go to get nice clothes in good fabrics at a good price.
There's nothing wrong with polyester, it's a sturdier replacement for silk and other shiny fabrics. As long as you choose the right texture and design design, and take good care of them, they look great and last a lot longer than silk. Although they are not as warm during the winter and cool during the summer, they can be worn during spring and autumn. It is nice to have some clothing made with natural fabrics in your wardrobe, but not all your clothing has to be made of the finest material, if you can make it work, go for it!
I'm 19 & I'm naturally leaning towards the elegant classic example (Kate Middleton) but I'm also leaning towards elegant feminine seductive...what do I do? Can I combine those two in my wardrobe?
I love your spin on the classic Kibbe body types. I've been doing a lot of levelling up research into my own style and I really sit nicely on the Classic spectrum. What I've learned is that I have to balance my Soft Classic body with my slightly more Dramatic Classic face in order to not appear too masculine or overly girly, and it's such a fine line to tread! To feminise the Elegant Classic more, just add in one element of either the seductive, girly or feminine classic styles. This I think would allow us classics some elegant flexibility whilst still remaining "minimal" and not too over the top. Thank you for this Anna as always.
I bought that book when it first came out and I've never regretted it. I'm a Soft Classic in personality and body type, so his theory works extremely well for me. I have to overlay it, however, with my Winter coloring, but I've been able to make it all work pretty nicely.
«My dear elegant ladies». *Me, after just 2 hours of sleep after being writting an essay and feeling tired and grumpy. - That phrase makes me feel better.
as an 18yearold girl i always felt like i should've been born in the 50s but now that i have found your youtube channel i feel bless thank you so much Anna💕
Anna, you are really putting your business - courses to another level, significantly leveling up and making it of highest quality and professionality. I am really impressed. I have been following you for over a year and a half and I see this progress. Very proud of you! You are doing an important job educating women to take care of themselves and achieve their optimum! 💗
I think I would have the feminine personality and also the elegant classic style. Thanks for the video I can see a bigger picture now and now I can define my style way better! ❣
No you, not!! you just a sista like me ,since when is a blk woman,,, ever been elegant ?cant never happen,no way no matter,,,, what ,I mean take peek in the mirror! You feel!
I just came here to say that I went shopping for new work clothes yesterday and I can just hear your voice in my head saying "THAT IS NOT ELEGANT!" Needless to say, I put a TON of outfits back that I would've otherwise purchased lol
I would like to say I'm between Elegant Flamboyant and Elegant Feminine. I love colors, prints, and have only recently been exploring more fabrics and textures.
I love these kind of videos, I've been dressing myself intuitively and I relate so much to the classic category. No wonder that my friends always thought I'm "different", "reliable" and somewhat "mature" 😅
I love Elegant Beatnik, if I could call it that. The style goal here is Kim Novak in the film "Bell, Book and Candle", her wardrobe in that film hit it out of the ballpark. Another one is Molly Ringwald in "Pretty in Pink" (except for that horrible prom dress at the end!).
Anna, I'm so excited for your live tomorrow lovely 🥰, so proud of all your hard work the evolution of your business. Here since day one! I'll be definitely joining your new program with other like minded ladies 💃! Your absolutely right about style personalities! You can actually mix these which I do on a daily basis! Also how you accessorize these outfits and style your hair, makeup and nails can actually make a big difference when pairing them together in a good or negative way! Thanks for another goodie 😘 bisou!
I fall under the elegant feminine girlie category. I love wearing pinks, neutrals and pastel colors. As well as floral prints, flowy fabrics and ruffles. Accentuating my small waist and wide hips is a must for me.
I have a video request: can you analyze the fashion and style of Blake Lively's character Emily in A Simple Favor? Her style in that movie is 150% me and Id like to hear your take on it.
I think about those boots she wears standing on the pier in the scene with her twin all the time! I found them online and I liked them more in the film, but I LOVED her style in that film! So sexy and made me feel better for being a tall woman (5'10) because Blake makes it look so good!
My elegant style could be termed “elegant boho”, which is also good for plus-size ladies with 3rd layer dressing like with statement jewelry pieces and kimono jackets over whatever else we are wearing. ❤️
Am still working my way through your Elegance Workshop videos. Since I don't have IG, or FB I wish to leave my comments for, "The 4 Pillars of Modern Elegance" video here: Your descriptions of your (youthful 20's) gala, fashion nightmare incident sounds a lot like Princess Diana's fashion faux pas when she was 1st formally introduced to high society. Remember the wide, flouncy, off the shoulder black dress she wore. You could immediately see that, she too, was very uncomfortable and very embarrassed. But WOW what a 'difference a day makes'. Once someone or many someone's pulled her aside and talked to her about how to adapt fashion to her / her body type and how to 'accentuate the positive' -- BOY did she get it right. No more fashion nightmare experience's after that. Great advice once again, Anna.
I looove elegant flamboyant style. It’s so visually interesting to me. I admire how much thought and creative passion goes into cultivating such well-crafted looks
I really appreciate you talking about this! I always see people talking about the Elegant Classic look, which is absolutely not my style. I'm definitely an Elegant Flamboyant! I've been part of historical costuming groups for a long time, which is probably where I developed the idea of detailed and well-coordinated outfits being the ideal. I'm also fond of 1920s evening fashion--subtle was out, bold was IN, and there was rarely such a thing as "too much." I love collecting vintage accessories and jewelry! There's definitely a lot of range in my wardrobe, colors anywhere from neutrals to pastels to bolds, and some outfits that come out very masculine--which is completely by design! I like playing with expectations, and I find that a nice suit with the hat I got from a men's hat shop makes me feel very confident and classy!
I have an inverted triangle body type and my style is definitely the elegant feminine. I've always liked dressing up girly and accentuating my figure. I think full, puffy skirts and dresses really help creating the illusion that my shoulders are narrower. Also, dressing feminine makes me feel more delicate and confident, especially because I am self conscious about my body type. Thanks, Anna!
First of all, let me thank you Anna. 😊 Thank you very much! I'm currently at about 30% of my wardrobe overhaul. You don't know how much you've helped me and I'm sure the same goes with all your other viewers. I finally found and understood the style I want.. I've watched so many of your videos I already lost count. 😅 I'm just so happy I found your channel. 🤗
Let’s see tomorrow there will be tons of copycats copying this video around 😂 i cant take them seriously they’re so tacky too Thanks Anna for your service 💜
Hi Anna, I really love this topic! I love elegant feminine style but I never realized that there are so many other elegant styles. Everyone is different but everyone can be elegant in their own way.
I'm in my early 20's and starting my elegant transformation. As someone younger, I think I would lean more towards elegant edgy for daily wear and seductive for the evening. What would you guys suggest? Does this sound like a good combination?
@@sarneepinkque9115 Not quite sure yet. I know I feel great in seductive clothing but I've always hated my daywear. I am looking to build up my clothing and I thought that would be a fun one to try without being too ridged.
I think I'm a combination of the elegant fashionista and feminine classic! Thanks for this video Anna, I always had a feeling there were different types of elegant clothing. Now it is all clear to me!
I would say I’m a combination of the Elegant Feminine Classic and Elegant Feminine Seductive 💙 Everything about me in life is a combination 😁 Thank you Anna!
I want to personally thank you on behalf of American women for what you are doing to improve our culture and state of being. Your examples help me immensely. I would like to know more about the elegant daily rituals and routines of upper class women. ie. diet, exercise, skin and body care. laundry and clothes care even perhaps decorating the home beyond minibilism (sp). hair care etc. You have given me a gigantic push in my transformation in becoming who and how I want to be. I am evolving to a higher brighter level because of you. I suppose I should be taking before and after pictures along the way! Thank you. The very best to you!
Dear Anna, your division of the elegant style is perfect! Finally I've found the true description of mine. I'm an elegant feminine seductive, also leaning towards feminine girly on some occasions. I have done several tests and tried many systems of style but none of them have been really fitting to me. It usually would classify me as "sexy style" but results didn't match me because I don't like vulgarity or overtly sexual clothing. Also, the example of Monica Belluci on my type is spot on! I love her style. Thank you, this video helped me very much. I hope you talk about it more in future videos. 💗
I was really into gothic fashion when I was younger. But since then I've elevated my style into a more elegant, feminine style but with a darker twist.
Who's taking note of every video on Anna's channel, I literally have a note book for this channel 🙈🙈 and working on leveling up into the high society, this channel is really helping me even when I can't afford the school now, I'm still gonna follow every step here. Anna please can you do a video showing how to walk and pose both standing and sitting in an elegant way 😊🙏🏽
I’m so glad I have found your channel... even if I’m still young I’m so ready to start my leveling up journey. So thank you Anna for being a true lifestyle icon. Best regards from Italy⭐️
You're my no.1 Go To Channel, Anna! Thank you for this video! I did enjoy your 1st Workshop! 💖💖💖 I already started my life transformation and even cut my hair 2 days ago!
My clothes have always leaned on the gothy fashion side. Now that I’m 23 and in a professional major in school I want to incorporate my dark spooky edge with a elegant twist. Love your videos! It helps so much!
So informative and brief. Love your content! I'm a bit of a tomboy and trying to elevate myself and moreover dress better. My husband loves me for who I am, yet I feel I am more capable of being at my best. Thank you and keep doing your amazing work Anna ❤️
I love the title. Authenticity is key in everything. Another enlightening video Anna. Kudos to you and your course is everything. Can’t wait for tomorrow
On of my favorite videos yet! Thank you for this, because I’m a girly artistic type and have been trying to be elegant without coming across as too childish.
Very helpful video as always. Thank you. I was wondering about jewelry and perfumes, which are elegant and which are not? How much is too much and how to combine certain jewelry with certain fashion style.
Anna, can you please make a video on how to look elegant during sport? That’s a big challenge to dress right for that. But also to stay classy when you sweat or when you are exhausted 😩
Could you do a video on elegant fashion for maternity or larger women? Not extremely overweight or obese (unhealthy!) but those who are truly just curvier or bigger framed, pear shape, etc.
I just realize that I am the "elegant feminine seductive"...❤️ And there is nothing wrong with that! Thank you for another professional explanation, Anna!
My partner recently gave me a great compliment. He said that I always look so put together and classy even when I am dressed casually. I asked him to explain and he said that it’s because I know what suits me, compliments my body, and I wear it all with confidence and over all feminine class. I personally think many styles can be elegant. If it fits well, isn’t too sexual (example: cleavage and short skirt), and is worn with a general personal class you should be good.
I love this video!!! I’m in my feminine journey and one of the things I struggle with is traditionally classic fashion. I find it to be a bit boring and uptight. I need color, I need ruffles, I need accessories to truly feel myself. Thank you my elegant lady.
Wow, elegant feminine flamboyant girly lady describes me perfectly! It makes it SO much easier to shop when you know yourself, what you like, what looks best on you and what you're most confident in. Great share!
