Thanks, just started using a blower (same eGO 765 that you have) on my coated truck and it works way better than I thought. Good idea on doing the order in that way, I'll try that next time. Also just had my stubby delivered this afternoon!

The moment you add a stubby nozzle, it's no longer just a leaf blower

I had bought the stubby with the green silicone tip. Put it on works great for blowing off water after washing the cars. Now comes leaf blowing and trying to remove the stubby is nearly impossible to remove. Watching videos on how to remove the stubby look and seem so easy to do. But pinching top and bottom it will not come off. I had 4/5 others watch the video on removing it. And it’s not coming off at all for them as well. So be aware if you have this problem or situation with the stubby attachment. As of today the stubby is 5:30 still on the ego 765. It just won’t slide off easily as it should.

@@brianbachmeier34 you either have to have a very good filter on your water so there's absolutely no mineral deposits or put it under shaded tent

Do you have a coating on the car when leaf blowing it? If so, any thoughts how the blower perform against an uncoated car using chemical guys hydrophobic wash?
@StubbyNozzleCo
@StubbyNozzleCo 9 месяцев назад
Yes, this vehicle is ceramic coated. A powerful leaf blower (i.e. > 450 CFM) can dry off an uncoated vehicle. However, using some sort of hyrdrophobic coating like ceramic, wax, or topper will make the job much more efficient. Hope that helps!

Do you think it can substitute the buffing part of the waterless wash process?

Great video, just what I was looking for. Is that an A6 Allroad with a aftermarket sports body kit? and are the alloys 20" by Audi?

@StubbyNozzleCo 7 месяцев назад
Thanks! Yep, it’s an A6 allroad with the OEM black optics package. The wheels are 21” Vossen VFS1.

Ok so my car is uncoated I believe I’m not sure but if it’s uncoated can I still buy the 650 cfm and it will still dry it?
@StubbyNozzleCo
@StubbyNozzleCo 7 месяцев назад
Yes, it will still work but it will worked better with a hydrophobic coating like ceramic or wax

I ended up getting the Greenworks based upon your other video (cheaper and 8 year warranty). Watching you use the Ego though it seems the bottom "handles" really help with holding it on the higher parts. What are your thoughts?
@StubbyNozzleCo
@StubbyNozzleCo 9 месяцев назад
The handle/base on the bottom of the EGO 765 is really nice when using the blower for car drying. With that said, you won't be disappointed wit the Greenworks 730. Per my testing (link below), the Greenworks 730 is one of the most powerful electric leaf blowers on the market today. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-l-JSXL91KZs.html

Thanks again for the reply! I got the Greenworks based upon your reply to my comment on the other vid. Have not had a chance to use it so holding off on my Stubby order until I do. My fear with the Ego is reported battery issues. May not be all but I see several reports about them.

Is a Milwaukee m12 blower strong enough? And is there a tip available?
@StubbyNozzleCo
@StubbyNozzleCo 4 месяца назад
In my opinion, the M12 blower is not strong enough to effectively dry a car therefore we don't offer a STUBBY nozzle for it. You want a blower with an advertised output of at least 450 CFM.

Any plans to make a flat tip nozzle for the ego 765?
@StubbyNozzleCo
@StubbyNozzleCo Год назад
Nope. I've experimented with a flat/fan shaped STUBBY nozzle and they don't work as well as the current design.
