The boss will never destroy the middle platform, so you can stand in the middle while the boss destroys the other platforms. Using Cryo characters to freeze the enemies or Geo for shields also make the fight easier.

Also, character shields. Like Diona’s Shield, you can use that. Geo shields are very good, but you can use Shield characters! :3

The team I always use to Oceanid is Jean, Keqing Dionna, and Chongyun/Kaeya. Jean is a great support to widen the freeze effect especially her burst. Keqing is a very good on dealing with hawks and also great for dodging explosion using E skill. I haven't been using bow users as a main dealer to Oceanid since I got her. Other than that, I use any cryo characters for a test and they are all a very good support.

I have come with useful news! If you have a hard time escaping the death bubble, use Beidou and her elemental skill on the death bubble and she wont get hurt. Nobody dies

This is the better strategy for free to play players!!! Relying on range and Elemental skills and bursts will take you too long to kill the summons causing the one hit whirlpool to take out one of your characters PER SUMMON. You want immobilize them with cryo and deal as much Dps as possible before the one hit whirlpool appears!

If you read whatever the Oceanid says to you, no, you're not dealing with dead animals, you're dealing with ocean sprites who take the shape of animals just to prove that swimmers are superior and land creatures are inferior. :D

Oh yea.. but there is a Trick for the cryo fatui. Itll always follow ur character, but if u Chance it the enemy will let go of u and u can get behind hin and then just paralize them

just jump to the other platforms using the winds and move to the platform which isn't affected by the ultimate of stormterror it becomes the easiest world boss, if you still have trouble use geo traveler and just make places to stand away from the ult and near the claw marks so that way it get easier

It gets way harder if you go world ascension lvls which I recommend lvl up your characters first, practice fighting strategically then you're ready To move to the next world ascension

@@leywald not even nearly immune to damage at higher levels. Crystallize has crappy scaling. Something around 1.2k shield per crystallize. Enemies easily hit for 3k+ at this point, so the shield not only breaks in one hit, but over half of the damage can get through too. Ningguang's still great as a DPS for this fight ofcourse, but she's not nigh immortal as the videos that fight low level Oceanids make her seem. I get by thanks to Noelle's shield being a lot more relaxing and sustainable when I'm out of stamina, or the death bubble arrives. Noelle can facetank that explosion with literal zero damage with that shield up. Heck, fought Oceanid in co-op once. Single player is a lot easier given you can pause and heal with items. (Atleast, no craftable thing for hotkey unlocked as of now) Both his charas died, my Fischl also died, so I had to somehow survive a mass mob assault (2 squirrels and 3 flying birds) till he revived and swam the way back. Noelle's the only one who could have handled that shit. Oceanid scaling is madness,

I realised that mistake when Wl went to 3 and i hadnt really fought any bosses. Suddenly everyone was 10-15 levels underpowered which might as well be 100. Making sure i ascend everyone now before the WL goes up again and the bosses take forever..

No kidding. My Oceanid is lvl 72 and the dmg it deals is really big. I need to use Noelle and Ningguang to beat it. Her geo reaction for water shield is crucial for survival. Since her attacks are ranged and homing she can deal with the hawks, but all the animals are particularly tanky at WL5. All the guides you find on YT Oceanid is low lvl and easy. Despite having Ningguang I still take too much dmg. I need to suck it up because my Mona needs the mats.

Do you have beidou and xiangling? They are good for oceanid. We dont talk abt cryo for now. For dealing the hawk, use amber(if you lvled her) or use any bow user chara and use auto attack/quick attack.

I think the only melee characters that can do some damage to the hawks are Keqing and maybe traveler(geo).. I'm not sure if u can place traveler's rocks on the platform

Ningguang is actually really good for clearly this. She can solo it because of big damage and crystallize keeping her from taking any damage. All Her abilities are homing and so you don’t even have to aim to hit the flying constructs lol

Only for lower levels. Crystallize scales way too poorly. 1.2k shield at level 80. Oceanid mobs hit harder, so each shield dies in a hit or so, and damage gets through too. She's still great as a DPS unit in this fight, but she's fallen very very far from her nigh-immortality

Recommended: - Bring an Electro character to outpace regen. AFAIK only the Land creatures have Regen. You'll always cause Electrocharge, increasing your DPS. - Bring a ranged character, mage or archer. Impossible otherwise to deal with fliers. Bonus points if this ranged character is Electro because thankfully the bird constructs have less HP. - Bring an ice character, you are guaranteed to freeze the constructs. This will also pause regen. - Bring a Geo character. You want to Crystalize water, this will allow you to tank the hydro attacks, the hydro AOE and that large hydro explosion for a time. It's better if Noelle is the Geo you bring because she can tank the hydro aoe for 0 damage when she has both Breastplate and collected a crystal - Lisa, Kaeya, Fischl and Qiqi should be in your party if you have them. This boss gives ascend mats for Hydro characters (Babara, Xingqu)

@@mangofu7700 Kaeya if you have built him because his E-skill recharges very quickly. But I've managed with no Cryo character and only Noelle as healer at around AR 40. Fischl has been MVP in this case.

Tip for people who are having a problem with the hawks and have no good ranged characters: You can use Kaeya's glacial waltz to freeze the enemies while they're flying to you, additionally, you can use noelle in conjunction with Kaeya's ult to tank the attacks.

There is a bug with this boss that causes the summoned enemies to disappear forever. If this happens, try aiming your camera vertically up. If the mob is out of your vision, it might reload the sprite and be visible again. If that deosn't work, then you'll have to teleport (via the Map) somewhere else to despawn and retry the boss. You can use the map teleport during combat or while in Domains. Edit: Patch notes from 1.1 says the invisible bug has apparently been fixed.

i know a way u can beat the bug..u just need to use fiscl or xiangling skill(the bird and the bear),they will auto attck the bug enemy and will kill them but sadly u will get 1 hit kill by the boss if u are slow,so goodluck and dont forget to bring food and revive

Lol this boss seems fun. The cute animals being your attackers makes it far less creepy than the cubes or Ruin Guards too. Will attempt it at some point for Barbara ascension. I feel like they all want revenge on my Fischl for hunting them for meat.

Personally, I think bringing a Geo character to make elemental shields is beneficial since those animals can only do Hydro damage. If u want extra protection however, bring a shield user. I suggest Diona since her E skill can also freeeze them, but if u don’t have her just use Noelle.

Karl DelaCruz she’s rlly good if you know how to use her properly and along if you build her properly as well. If you unlock her counter skill then you should really know when the enemy attacks you so that you can counter it and deal even more damage . Her ult can cast an electro shield that can occasionally electrify the enemy and her ult is still there even if you switch character so its a vv big chance for you to do elemental reactions to make more damage to the enemy

@@karldelacruz8067 Razor has higher damage, but his skill set only revolves around him meaning ,you can only use him on the battlefield. While Beidou has less attack damage, she can block and counter enemy attacks. So in my opinion Beidou is the better option , she can dish out crazy amounts of damage when she counters an attack. The attack she dishes out coincides with how much max HP she has. I know this can be a bit difficult to understand. Try searching on how to use Beidou.

I main Beidou as my bruiser and ya her and fishl stomp this. I also really like to use Barbara's song with beidous counter for meaty elemental reaction, I probably won't be able to do it for long once I hit ar 40 but I can one shot whole mobs and really mess up the big guys with a well timed counter

it was a mistake for me to wait until world lvl 3 to do this fight ... its so difficult for me now and my mona/barbara haven't ascended past lvl 40 😭 edit: so i beat it with ningguang and its super easy with her! crystallize helps a lot because the water shields can block almost all their attacks. and obviously having cryo + electro characters in ur party helps a ton too

This fight is actually impossible for me to complete now. None of my archers are high enough level to survive any attacks or contribute in any way. No more or resources to level a character that is required to finish a fight. Nonsense.

My favorite strategy is mixing Keaya's and Beidou's elemental burst skill when taking on the boars and squirrels. Keaya's burst will inflict frozen then Beidou's will infuse your attacks with electro which causes Superconduct, dealing more damage and lowering their defenses. Doing this will burn them down in mere seconds. Another tip that he didn't mention is that when the Oceanid is destroying the platforms, the middle one will never be removed during the fight, only the outer perimeter ones.

Now I have a fix set of Characters to use against this THING Qiqi: Healing Option as well as Freeze Fischl: The fact that Oz can hit the Eagle Illusions makes them much easier to deal with Xiangling: Guoba. Nuff said Barbara: Secondary healing option and in case I took too long Before I got Qiqi I use Kaeya

as for the bubble explosion, i’m pretty sure if you plunge attack into the water right before it explodes, you don’t take any damage. or even use venti to glide over the explosion, if you’re lucky to have him

For lower world levels, yep. For higher, Crystallize scaling sucks and if you try to chill around thinking you're immune, you'll end up dying. A 1.2k shield at level 80, when the mobs hit for so much more, is quite underwhelming

Nice to see differing strats for this boss. I typically use these three characters. Kaela to instantly freeze enemies( unless they are aerial ones).Most important stop is now to get a geo energy attack on the frozen ones(or even if they are not frozen, frozen makes them easier to hit). Can use Noel or traveller with geo skillset. The geo attack crystallizes to give a water shield.Finally I then use Lisa within the shield to deal burst damage,charge damage and elemental damage. Damage by Lisa is enormous esp in groups coz of water e.t.c. The shield lasts long enough for Kaela to get his frozen knacksaw ability back(5 sec) and enough for traveller to get his geo back(5 sec both filled during Lisa's assault). Then repeat the formula.

For that "Death Explosion", there's two ways to deal with it. The Explosion happens 4 seconds after the enemy dies so normal running won't make it far enough (you need about 4.5-5 seconds, about 0.5 was lost just from the initial start). So to counter this, you can try doing "burst dash". As in, instead of hitting dash and just keep running, spam the dash key. It'll give you a slight edge and goes a bit faster which can allow you to outrun it. It can be inconsistent though depending on how fast you start dashing. The other option is to just do the "timing dash" and count to 4 in your head. When you count 3 and about to head to 4, starts the process of dashing. Invincibility frame from dashing is about 0.5 secs so you have enough time to dodge. Just have to practice a bit and those explosions are nothing. My biggest suggestion to people is to stop running all the time, conserve stamina and only do those short burst dash. It'll help make this boss a lot easier if you can conserve your stamina usage.

I use Kaeya to freeze the enemy and use Razor’s elemental skill to attack and leave, then repeat. Since Razor’s charged skill reaches the flying things, it’s easy to one-shot them (although Razor is my main dmg so he’s stronger than my other characters). I also use Fischl as a turret (as the video said). My fourth is a healer.

If you are struggling with the Oceanid then consider using a freeze group to help you. If you have Chongyun and Keaya you can pretty much control the area with a ton of CC options, the mobs can't do damage if they are frozen.

I recommend bringing Kaeya when fighting this boss. I spam freeze all of them(except for the hovering birds) with his fast cooldown E (which makes him better than Chongyun) and then destroy them with Fischl 😆

You can avoid it by dashing twice with one character, then swapping to another and dash another 2 times. This will get you away from the explosion (and get that achievement) as long as you have room to run away.

if you dont have any 5 stars, use barbaras elemental burst(shes the only 4 star with a cinematic burst) it delays the amount of damage you take and also heals your entire party

if you have noelle, just use all def artifacts on her and when the whirlpool appears, switch to her and pop the shields. she can tank everything the boss spawns if build correctly.

Tip: when I tried fighting Oceanid I found keeping Atleast one cryo member really helped because once you freeze them they can’t attack for a long time and if you use the anemo traveler’s burst you can spread the freeze effect to others. With that you can take your highest physical damage dealing character. This helps with pretty much every enemy except the hawk. For the hawk you can use a bow user and just spam attacks. Try using charged attacks less if you’re using a bow user btw.

They should at least give like 5 Cleansing Heart for dealing with this boss’ bs. Was able to finally defeat the Eagles today with Amber distracting them with Baron Bunny so Lisa can blast their faces off (Kaeya meanwhile tanking their crap while dealing with the stupid chicken jay). All that for ONE Cleansing Heart. All the other bosses so far, I have a blast (especially Cryo Regisvine, Electro Hypostasis, and Dvalin), but this nuisance can go dry up on the sun. I’m trying to farm this thing now because I didn’t realise until too late this gets harder as it levels up (and I’m AR 33 now), and I’m hoping to get Childe from his banner rerun while also Ascending Barbara. But damn, this boss is so bloody annoying.

You can cheese the frog and jay bubble burst by plunging into the water shortly before the explosion, thus being undewater by the time the explosion goes by. Also, carefully timing beidous counter can deal with hawks with ease.
