Hey there! Funny coincidence - we released a video about the same topic today, but we focused on option 3 in your video and used the ToneX One as the audio interface. By the way, I love your Tone Models! Greetings from Austria. Cheers, Lukas

Bro, your presets are the best I’ve tried! Bought the ultimate pack a couple months back and it’s awesome. So fun to have all those classic tones from my favourite songs already dialed in. Now if I could just download some talent, I’d be set. 😂

Your videos are BY FAR the best I have yet encountered on navigating my way through the perplexing Tonex software ecosystem. Thank you.

I try my best to make it as accessible as possible, since ToneX is quite confusing. Thank you very much! :)

Good video, thanks for the information. What can I do if my pc and my sound card (small berhinger) are a shit? When I try to run a plug-in it sounds very bad even I adjust the latency. Most times only sound a noise signal. I ordered a tonex one yesterday and I'm nervous 😅 In the worst case what I must buy? A new pc or a new sound card?

What I haven't figured out it how to use the TONEX One as an audio interface to edit presets in the software because the TONEX One pedal gets stacked w/ whatever the software is doing. If I want to mute the pedal I can put it into stomp mode and have it bypass. If I want to mute the software I'm at a loss... I have no idea how to do this.

Great video! Problem I am having with Tonex One is when I go to paste a profile from Tonenet into my presets/folder it is not bringing in the cab.
@galtonestudio
@galtonestudio 2 месяца назад
Some profiles on tonenet don't have cabs (Direct profiles) which may be the case but it is hard to tell. I will probably make another video about cabs/irs, maybe it will be helpful:)

Thanks for the videos! I love the tones I get from my Tonex1 - but the way the software works, and how it routs audio in "real time" is a HUGE limitation. Basically, there is NO WAY AT ALL to put the Tonex1 pedal into true bypass mode to enable real-time editing. You can't use the Tonex1 as just a simple audio interface. How stupid is that??? I ended up doing what you did in option 1, otherwise, the Tonex1 pedal and the software are BOTH active at the same time, and you get your model, twice! It's such a bad software interface, honestly.... For something that sounds so good, and is not cheap, the Tonex software is appalling.

Hi, guys how to add both stomp pedal (for example tubescreamer) with amp model and cab sim?
@galtonestudio
@galtonestudio 2 месяца назад
You can't do that in tonex. You need to use Amplitube 5, or 2 tonex VST instances in DAW (one for pedal, one for Amp/cab) in order to use stomp with Amp. The only way is to use it with hardware is to have a profile that is an Amp and pedal capture.
@galtonestudio
@galtonestudio 2 месяца назад
Or to use 2 tonex pedals (cheapest option are 2 tonex ones).

Where do you set the knobs on ToneX One pedal after editing a a preset for further tweaking while using it? I'm thinking putting then all in the middle before sending them to the pedal. This way I can add or subtract bass, treble, etc. as needed. How do you personally do it? Thanks!

I don't use pedal at all now since I don't play live apart from occasional acoustic gigs. App is way more useful for my regular studio workflow. But if i would use it, i would use FRFR with eq and tweak it to sound as close as possible to my studio monitors instead of changing individial presets.
@JimmyKay1976
@JimmyKay1976 2 месяца назад
@@galtonestudio My FRFR doesn't have EQ. I'm assuming you mean EQ on app
@galtonestudio
@galtonestudio 2 месяца назад
@@JimmyKay1976 if you don't have internal eq, i would try to edit them like i did in that video. Most of the time FRFR can be boomy. I usually edit only 3 parameters after i create a preset - presence, depth and bass. If it is boomy, reduce bass and depth and increase presence if necessary.

Maple fretboard are the best 🎉🎉🎉 (oh and stainless steel frets 😂)

Unless I have to refret them (I have a luthier shop as well - this is actually a frankie clone that I made) ;d I hate working with stainless, but they sure last long :D
