Thanks for the tip! I have been meaning to set up an air line running off our main compressor used for the automatic press, but it's one of those thing that gets pushed to the bottom of the list every week. When we're paying attention to the spools it's not an issue, but I was trying to run the camera and stitch at the same time in this video. Super happy it happened, because it gave me an excuse to nerd out.

@@robb1121 the best past of those wires is when you unspool them from storage and they always tend to flip right toward your open eyeballs.

Yo! First off, congrats! You're making big moves and I think you'll be happy with the Barudan. ZSK isn't a brand I am familiar with, but I can tell you this: If you're looking to save some money, buy a Barudan. Even if the price tag is higher to get the machine in, we have had $0 spent on broken parts, and this machine has been used daily for 3+ years. It is a work horse, and if you've got a good digitizer for the embroidery files then you will not be breaking threads.

Just one more thing about hats: I'm not sure where the myth that Barudan has problems running caps came from, because we slam out thousands each year and I'd put the quality up against any other machine out there. You're going to find that no matter what machine you're using, something like a Yupoong 6089 has a max embroiderable area of about 2.5" h. After that the design will begin to creep over the contour of the crown and warp.

Kevin! Yo! It depends on what you mean for advanced. If you're just starting out, I'd recommend a single head machine for two reasons: 1. You want to make sure your stitch volume is enough to justify the payment on your new embroidery machine (assuming you get a bank loan), and 2. There is a bit of a learning curve when it comes to stitching, but if you become one with the machine, like a legit Thread Jedi, then you will be able to tackle a 6, 12, or even 18 head machine without an issue.

Beware of cheap beanies. We had a no-name crap beanie get sucked into the bobbin casing and it caused a real mess for us. However, the fix was easy and all we had to do was loosen the bobbin's basket and reset the timing on that specific head. Not had one issue since then. Can you tell how much I love Barudan?
