Great video. Thanks for explaining how to use the Sash Frame. Consider saving some time by tweeting your design so that your placement stitch is another color. Then, you can have them all stitch out without having to pause the machine.

Some of the bigger pieces of that fabric can go into a cutter machine like Cricut to cut the patch outlines out of it and you could then lay them into the stitched layout areas and make more patches. (Hope that made sense).

Hey good call. Thanks for the idea!

Couldn't you cut the patches out with silhouette cameo instead of by hand?
@threadchemistry
@threadchemistry Год назад
Ya someone mentioned that in the other video.. I think it's possible and a good idea, I'm just trying to figure out how to get the exact same size rectangle to silhouette studio, or any other ways to accomplish it..

Depending on your digitizing software, you can easily export the design to put it into cutting machine software at the same sizes. I have EmBrilliance and it lets you do that. Try that out… maybe that would help.

How are you getting the pattern to repeat? Through e software? Or is there a way I can do it on the machine?
@threadchemistry
@threadchemistry Год назад
Unfortunately on the machine you can only do a few copies. It has to be done in the digitizing software.

hi what is on the backside of your hoop the black stuff?
@threadchemistry
@threadchemistry Год назад
That is just a felt like fabric. I assume since this hoop glides on the table top, it's there to make that smooth

I apologize for being a complete newbie...but what would stop you from putting all layers together in hoop to start, and just stitching the patch out...rather than having to cut the first layer out and placing them onto the second layer?
@threadchemistry
@threadchemistry Год назад
That is most certainly a good question. I guess I just learned it that way.. You think if we just hooked both layers and run 1 cut it would work?

I truly have no idea, I have yet to try patches, it was just something that hit me while watching. Maybe it has to do with being able to keep the edges cleaned up. I'm really not sure myself. Your videos are some of the better ones I've seen and I look forward to trying some patches on my machine soon! Thank you for your reply.

Thanks, man. If u have any questions let me know anytime. Otherwise I'll let you know how your theory works out when I get a chance. I think if you do it at once you wouldn't be able to have 2 seperate layers of stabilizer, right? Which is needed.
