THANK YOU so much for this video!!! I actually wanted to disable this feature which was set up for me when I bought the car. I tried to do this using the manual, other videos, etc. Never found “walk away auto lock” term until I saw your video. Appreciate it!
Glad I could help! Don't forget to check out my tips and tricks video as well for the fifth gen CRVs, here the link ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8Nx_qsDcG64.htmlsi=RMas-V5CB0WF9y7C
I'm glad that I could help. If you like to go above and beyond to truly help me out. You can mention (Crazy Honda Chris) in a five-star google review. I am graded more on feedback than sales and that truly helps me out. Google Review Link g.page/r/CWOhNMzohnNlEAg/review
Hello First of all thank you for your teaching, now my question is as follows: Can all windows and sunroofs be closed at the same time as the Walk Away Auto Lock Feature Thank you very much Mr Wong
I have just bought a 2022 hybrid EX model in the UK and don't have Auto Door Lock nor Auto Door Unlock in the Door Window Setup menu! It's the top spec model. Would you have any idea why or how this can be missing?
@@rubenpedrosa Nope! No auto door locking on the UK spec! However, you can open and close all windows and sun roof by holding the unlock or lock button on the key fob. I like that feature.
Not sure why it wouldn't work unless you have another key fob inside the vehicle. I would double check if you're vehicle has the feature because it varies markets.
Hello Cris, I having problems with my 2021 Honda CRV. I change the battery and my screen is lock with the scientist looking for the satellite. I tried to reboot and nothing happens. I still cannot use the radio the car but the radio is the screen is out with that sign it says looking for the satellite I’ll put them in the middle of the parking lot and still not getting any results, please can you help me on this issue?
I'm guessing that it's trying to figure out why someone walking away with the fob while the doors are open. I have to play around more with that situation. thanks for watching
@@CrazyHondaChris-H18 This came up because my car was broken in to when the door was left unlocked. The car didn’t lock after I, the driver, got out with the fob to unlock the front door while my child carpool group was still getting out of the car.
Do you have two fobs and occasionally alternate between the two? If so, may not be ware that vehicle settings is alternate between drivers from the fob. Here are a few links to help. I'm madder than a hornet at Honda. Enough so I may not buy another one! I was out of town at my daughters moving her car and mine. Because my CRV automatically opens with the key fob I 'assumed' it would not lock itself with the keys inside. Well, that's exactly what happened. I had to drive two hours each way to get my other set of keys at home. I was pretty G'dammed angry. Not only that, the interstate was doing night road work and I was greatly delayed. At least this video shows how to disable that damned feature. My advice? Honda should get rid of it, or at least let you open the car if your keys are inside! The car is a 2016. Maybe Honda has already changed it.
@@CrazyHondaChris-H18 I discovered that on the 2016 CRV there is a 30, 60, and 90 second delay to automatically lock the car doors. There is also an option keep all doors unlocked after the engine is stopped. YAY!! My Subaru Outback also remains unlocked after I get out. I'm happy with those choices.
@@alfredeneuman6966 the security relock setting just relocks the doors after a period of time when you select unlock on the fob. If a door isn't open within that time. It relocks all the doors.
@alfredeneuman6966 im way familiar with the fifth generation CRVs (2017 - 2022). If there's a setting to keep the vehicle locked up when turning on, it would be under the following Vehicle Settings -> Door/window setup -> auto unlock door -> Then three settings to select.
@@CrazyHondaChris-H18 Thanks for the video Chris! Mine locks the other doors but doesn't't lock the driver's side door when it's running. Is remote start the only way to have it running and locked when I walk away?
