How to enable or disable lane departure warning on a Honda  

I personally HATE all that stuff. When I drive, I WANT TO BE IN SUPREME COMMAND of my vehicle, like a captain of a ship.

I cannot BELIEVE it was that simple. Salesman did not even mention this when he sold me mine. Good thing I looked it up, this was annoying me to death lol

You’re the best! Honda dealer turned LKAS off on the steering wheel for me but I was still getting land warnings. Just found the button below the dash and found it on! It was driving me crazy so thank you 100x!

Useful video Brian...I first encountered that feature some years ago on a hire car and I thought the wheels were loose !! so I stopped at a service station and I felt silly when a fellow motorist located the switch and disabled it for me 🤫

There is a button next to the menu on the steering wheel with a picture of the steering wheel it will keep you in lane as well

OH MY GOD!! This 💩 ALMOST made me crash. Coming from a 2020 Civic SI, I had all control of my car. It did what I told it and the drive was perfection. After someone hit ME 😢 they totaled my car, I had to settle for a 2024 Civic Sports since I’m broke 😭 ANYWAYS, I don’t like the tech new cars have, sometimes you need to get extra close to someone before hitting the brakes. I had to disable a lot of features in my SI, but now I got an Auto and I feel I lost all control of my driving. ☠️

I just got the crv after my jeep. With my jeep the lane departure was one of the best feature and with this crv it’s terrible. It just makes me move on to moving cars 🤦🏻‍♀️

Such a moronic feature that goes off once or twice a minute for me, and I am not departing my lane in any way. It's right up there with the collision alert thing that jams on the brakes. Whenever a car is coming at me on a curve, it thinks we're going to crash and it either gives a quick jab on the brakes, or in one case slammed on the brakes. This is wildly dangerous. So I'm paying a bunch of extra money for worse than worthless features I must turn off for safety.

I needed to know how to turn it on actually or at least how I turned it off by accident. Thanks

my 2023 Honda Civic Sport doesn't have that button. I can't find it anyway. But I just taped over the "Wide Angle Camera" on the front windshield, using black electrical tape. Hopefully the stupid "Lane Departure Warning" 'feature' will be disabled now, since the camera is blocked. I HATE that Lane Departure Warning. When it comes on, the car basically grabs the wheel. And it comes on even when I'm not departing the lane AT ALL. In other words it doesn't even work right. It's not a safety feature at all, it's dangerous. When it comes on, it makes me angry. When I am driving on the highway, knowing the car could grab the wheel at any moment, it makes me afraid. What a horrible, "idealistic", un-tested "feature". Other than that I love the car!

What the benefits of lane departure? Anyone can help?

All you have to do is use turn signals and the car doesn't push back while changing lanes.

I deactivated mine and it still comes on.
