How to enter the LOUVRE MUSEUM without waiting ? 

I visited the Louvre yesterday with my family. There was a very long line on the pyramid entrance. I asked the person in-charge of the line if we can go through the carousel entrance since i got a ticket online and he said i have to stay on the line going to the pyramid. So i went down the carousel entrance to check(while my family stayed in line on pyramid entrance). Lo and behold … its a secret entrance even the employee doesnt know. THANK YOU THIS POST. We would have waited for 2 hours. I don’t understand why employees let us wait in line for sooo long (pyramid)when there is a another entrance without lines

Just imagine how crazy that line would get if they said yes, you can go in the way to everyone who asks.. Waiting in line keeps things orderly. I was there just 3 days ago and although the line was long, it actually moved along pretty smoothly.

I don't know why but the louvre site won't let me book the tickets , any guesses why ?

This is completely false we bought tickets on the Saturday for Sunday noon and queued over an hour. Tickets were bought officially through the Louvre website.

this is not true as during the high season this "shortcut" is a famous entrance (and everyone goes there. The best way is to hire a private guide-conferencier. They are the only way to skip the line for now

It’s impossible to get tickets for the louvre. Their website is slow, “shitty” and keep crashing. Don’t waste your time trying to get tickets, there’s many more nice places in this city!!!

What type of ticket is acceptable to use the carrousel entrance??
