Thanks for the explanations. Quick, clear and understandable and without annoying music. This kind of how To videos are really helpful. Better than most of the rest around here.!!!
You can use HDC with center differential locked (ESC in OFF ROAD mode). It’s only with rear and front differential locked that HDC isn’t available (ESC OFF).
Ingamar, greetings to you in Austria - using your lightbar and spots - do you get any reflections off the bonnet? I was wondering about light bouncing back off a dark-coloured Grenadier... My Grenadier is white, as yet, with no extra lights... "the locals" here all love giving opinions but of course, most still drive Jeep or Toyota. My best, Cheers J
actually there are no reflections. the bonnet is getting brighter of course once you turn on the bar but it is way less than I expected. I will release a video next week regarding the LED bar and will try to show that!!
I notice that you use your phone for navigation. Surely they need to add a second screen for navigation and other functions? Most rivals now have wireless CarPlay and Android Auto so that you can have a choice of about four navigation systems plus the car’s own, and on a large screen with turn to turn junctions also copied to the dashboard in front of the steering wheel or even to a head-up multi-display.
I think you are referring to the part about the HDC system. I was using my phone on the dashboard to film. The Grenadier has Apple CarPlay (which I am using) and Android Auto plus a basic built in NavigationSystem (Pathfinder). It's missing a head-up-display!
@@grenadier_exploring Thanks for clearing that up. It did look like the iPhone was positioned for navigational use. My favourite nav app is Waze, because it has so many voice choices and a Welsh menu system option, which I use.
Another good and clear video. So many reviewers have complained about the double presses and delays etc but that only shows they don’t understand how these mechanisms work. I think these functions are well implemented in the Grenadier and smart drivers will appreciate it.
Hi. Thank you so much for all these videos. Really helpful. After watching I have the same HGM-Rack on delivery so thank you. Can I ask pls. The light bar - was it easy to fit onto the roof rack and do you recommend a particular one that will be easy to install? Thank you!
the lightbar i am using was super easy to install. i used the provided brackets (just had to bend them slighlty) and that's it. the provided cable and plug fit to the outlet on the right forward side on the Grenadier's roof. I am really happy with the bar. price is reasonable, quality ok and the output amazing...used it a lot up in scandinavia! I got the Auxbeam 52" Pro lightbar auxbeam.com/collections/led-light-bars-by-series-5d-pro-series/products/zd000681 You would get another 15% off with my code GEG2
How do you like those fuel and water carriers mounted over the rear windows? I have a panel version on order, and plan to add the same style carriers, I figure all visibility will be lost out of those two rear side windows, how do you like them? Is visibility greatly affected? Also is there any weight distribution problems associated with full tanks. Clearly better for CG than on the roof rack in 20L cans, but still high above the lowest part of the truck. Do you feel more pronounced side to side movement after they were installed when full? Thanks buddy! Looking great!
Hi! I am very happy with the containers! Since my roof load is already high, I can't feel the added weight of the fuel/water! so no impact there. Visibility out of the rear side windows is not important for me and practically non-existent since I also installed a MOLLE-panel inside (will show that in a future video). Visibility to the back in the side mirrors is ok. slightly reduced for objects far away. thx a lot for your feedback
Great little videos but please please go back and but the topics in the titles! Would be so much more helpful for viewers and should help you pop up in more searches!
yes, it has. But you have to engage it mechanically via a screw on the transfer case itself. The Grenadier has a "car wash mode" as well. That allows you to put the transmission into "N" without keeping the engine running. but for that you have to get it going at least once.... I describe it in my video "The Inoes Grenadier - useful tipps and tricks" ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-M8QeLEG_RMQ.htmlsi=ZXZj_j8_BhJ0USuQ
Ingemar - many thanks for your excellent videos! Located in Denver, CO waiting for delivery sometime in late November. Your drawer system previewed in an earlier video is something I have been considering. Can you explain how the manufacturer fastened the unit in the rear cargo area? Thank you again for the all the effort with your videos - best RJ
Hello to Denver, RJ! The drawer system is attached to the utility rail in the cargo area with airline rail fittings. screwed in and absolutely tight and stable. it's easy to install as well.
I talked to the boss of TailgateGear - he said it's possible. If he knows a zip code/address data he could prepare a precise quote. guess you can send him an inquiry on their hp. www.tailgategear.eu
yes you can engage it on the move. there is only a warning that you shouldn't have it engaged at speeds above 70km/h (45mph) (the manual refers to all differential locks).
