I'm here from South Africa. I pay a lot of money to a company called Discovery. It's ostensibly about my health. It magically became a bank. I needed their help about thirteen years ago. They would not help, I still pay, for reasons I do not understand. I've not been anywhere near a health professional since. Oh, dear, yes. I wanted an update on spectacles. Horrendous! Care of Spec Savers :). The Constant Gardener is alive and happening in Africa :). People like me are being raped everywhere on Earth. Thank you for standing Mr Farage.

A commercial organisation has the right to refuse to serve a potential customer for any non statutorily protected reason, race, religion.... So where do banks fall into this, system? Do we need a national bank for the undesirables who treasure and exercise their supposed right to free speech in a democracy.

If de-banking happens, then people should take their money out of the banks. Banks will no longer serve their purpose.

Many years ago I was discusing banking with a friend and he told me that he often changes banks. He has millions going through business, all his clients are on the footsie so all his money is clean. The reason to change banks is no different from supermarket shopping or buying petrol. They want his business and want his money, so if there are special offers on the petrol pumps he changes garages, similarly if the banks want to get him as a client he asks if there are any special offers to encourage him to move over. The banks have lots of offers the general public are unaware of called a backhander. Not different from going to the ticket touts for cup finals, its similar to the times of post war black market only more respectable. Check out Wimbledon finals centre court, FA Cup final, royal gala events,all high ticket events, all the banks do corporate entertaining, expensive resturants for my friend and his wife, a nice word for bribing, it would be interesting to see where the money is hidden in the accounts, in the big picture it in not a lot of money for the balance sheet, but it runs into hundreds of thousands of pounds. He wasn't debanked. He didn't have enough money for an elite service from an elite bank. Coutts offered him an ordinary person's NatWest account but that wasn't good enough for Uncle Nige and his sense of entitlement. In any case, as a PEP with direct links to dodgy folk such as Steve Bannon and George Cottrell (among others), Coutts have a right to look into Nige and assess what sort of (financial/reputational) risk he poses to them. His victimhood grift is a joke.
