How to EV TRAIN with EV Training LOCATIONS in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet 

Protip: You should only buy 25 of the vitamins per stat because each stat is maxed out at 252 EVs. After using 25 of the vitamins, you can use feathers to cover the last two EVs, and you can also use feathers for the 6 remaining EVs after you fully max out two of your pokemon's stats. Using feathers like this should save you around 30K per pokemon. You can find an unreasonable amount of these feathers for free lying around Lake Casseroya.

Great video! Only a small correction: the power items give you the EV regardless of the pokemon you defeat. For example: if you defeat a Psyduck while holding the power bracer you will receive 1 EV for Sp. Atk and 8 EV for Atk. Also make sure that you have in your party pokemons that need the specific EV's that you are grinding, because all the non fainted pokemons in your party will receive the EVs of the defeated/captured Pokemon

Huge blow to EV training in gen 9. The vending machine in the Dojo in gen 8 was a gold mine when leveled up. I truly miss it already.

For HP EV training, I recommend going to Casseroya Lake. There, you can find the following HP yielding pokemon in abundance: Tropius (2 HP EVs), Azumarill (2 HP EVs), Marill (21 HP EV), and Slowpoke (1 HP EV).

The only thing that sucks about the raids is that. Only a few selective pokemon can handle raids even with max IV training and maxed out . I wish we had more variety builds that could actually handle raids

For arrack ev's I like to go to the bamboo forest near Eri's Team Star Camp, nearly all pokemon spawns in the forest give attack evs, with Luxray giving 3, while Lokix and bisharp give 2

Fury Falls is best for Attack EVs. Luxray +3 Scyther+1 Heracross+2

There's an area where you can encounter giraferig and fluffy. They both give 2 ev for sp.atk as well. Just incase goldducks are at a to high level to train. Its at the area going towards the water gym

I don't know if it was changed in the newer games, but I remember in the older games you could only use 10 vitamins in any stat

Oinkologne is a much better HP target than Chansey. They spawn a lot more frequently

I do not recommend training on flamigos because they don't spawn as frequently so the +2 ev instead of +1 doesn't matter...i recommend yungoos in the beginning cave where you follow koraidon/moraidon

I think I'm coming up with a bug... I am trying to figure out as to why I'm only receiving sparkles for HP on the 6 pokemon I'm working on. The one thing I can possibly think of is that I possibly killed like 30-40 pokemon while grinding for my ATK EV for 4 of my pokemon, all done separately. Does killing TOO MANY pokemon with the brace on not allow you to max out another stat?! I'm only getting those sparking stars for my HP stat and nothing else. I've even used all of the berries I've needed to lower every other stat to their lowest, started over and I'm still having the same issue!

Farming EV in Area Zero is great if you beaten the game and dont have the Cash/LP to buy. Pokemon Scarlet: Scream Tail = HP, Brute Bonnet = Attack, Glimmora = SP Attack, Raichu = Speed, Garganacl = Defense If you have the bracers defeating this pokemon gives 11 EV on each stats so defeating them 23x will max out the EV. It also great when you have a lvl 1 pokemon hatch from egg and you want to lvl it up while maxing out its EV.

7:50 the best HP area is in area zero do normal appearance food go to research 3 hug left enter the cave (iron valiant and roaring moon spawn cave) it not only gives you hp but also gives you a lot of exp. You can equip the training item for the other stat aside from HP you need and get to knocking out. It won't take long to max both up and your other stat out. Under 30 minutes if you one shot.

There really needs to be a less obtuse if not more efficient method of doing this in game. Having to do something specific in order to train your pokemon on top of just leveling them up (which anyone of any skill level or experience with the mechanics can do) makes sense, but the level of faffing about a player would logically be expected to do to figure out what EVs are, how they are raised, how they are lowered, why they are important and which targets increase which EVs is completely absurd. The dumbest part about it is that it actively _punishes_ players who casually play the game not knowing what it is, which is typically young kids who don't know about all this stuff and the target audience of the game, by assigning their EVs pretty much at random as they're exploring the overworld. So ideally what we want is a system that rewards player knowledge and experimentation, but is fairly painless to deal with in the case of ignorance. That is the impression I get for what kind of a system this is intended to be. The most conspicuous problem with EVs is as stated above; you cannot control them in normal gameplay so this already convoluted process becomes even more complicated where the player has to undo the EVs they've already assigned by accident. The simplest solution would be to just let players assign them manually; each time a pokemon defeats an enemy pokemon, they gain neutral EV points that the player can distribute freely at their convenience (or perhaps give a small buff to all stats evenly) similar to how pokemon can now "remember" any move they are high enough level to learn from their innate pool of moves. Immediately all of the timewasting and stress of EV training is obliterated, and most importantly the trainer is actually able to take the development of their pokemon into their own hands. You know -- like they're _training_ the pokemon, or something. . . . But that feels a bit too simple the other way, so perhaps instead the control you have over EVs should be tied to your progression: each pokemon gym, barring the first one, could be tied to a particular stat and each time you want to assign those EV points, you have to take that pokemon to the gym and do a little minigame to assign EV points to whichever stat the gym pertains to. So for the majority of the playthrough you're just racking up those EV points without having to worry about getting your pokemon "treated" later by stuffing their face with EV-resetting berries and can just enjoy the game. (It ought to be possible to train all six party pokemon at the same time as well.) The final gym allows you to reset EVs or rather convert them into neutral EV points that buff all stats evenly as before. For extra flavor, this is also a chance to interact with the gym leader and their subordinate trainers a bit more as you'll be coming and going to the gyms a lot more. These minigames shouldn't be too grindy because the whole point of this is to cut down on boring grind and because they won't be nearly as time-consuming as before, you'll have more time available to train a larger number of pokemon overall. So in practice players will still devote about as much time to the game but will get more properly-train pokemon out of it.

How many Pokémon would I have to KO just for 1 max stat?

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but how do I know if I've used up all my points? Like, if I'm using berries to reduce and then training up in a different stat, how do I tell how many berries to use? EDIT: by which I mean, if I have a mon I've used from the start of my journey or something with EVs all over the place. I can definitely calculate wiping out a maxed stat. :)

I saved up for 6 power bracers and KOd 28 shinx still don’t see any stat changes. Are there requirements to EV training? Do you have to be at a certain point in the game?

Don't waste your money on buying 26 vitamins, do 25 instead. Then dump 2 feathers in that stat to max it out. You'll save a lot of money doing it that way instead.

So let me get this right I can use Vitimins to boost evs and Pokémon can have a total of 26 vitimins for 2 stats and 4 left for a third stat And after doing that should I just level the Pokémon up with power items ? What if I max the items like hp, special attack and special defence but have the power defence item for normal defence does that mean the power item won’t work ?

It should be noted that Power Items award the EVs stated, regardless of the Mon fought, plus the battled Mon's EVs. For example: If you KO a Chansey wearing the Power Anklet, you will receive 8 EVs in Speed from the Anklet and 2 EVs in HP from the Chansey.

EV training in Pokemon has always been a *time consuming/annoying* aspect that I never liked. I really wish they would *modernize* the process and make it easier, particularly through *AFK/Passive EV training* like in *Digimon Cyber Sleuth* where you can let your Digimon train in the "Digi Farm" *passively* while you do other stuff in the meantime.

...I don't get it. Why does it take 11 Chansey's to reach 252 HP EV? If each one is 10 HP EV, then wouldn't 11 Chanseys give 110 HP EV? Was that a mistake in the video, or am I going crazy? 😢
