If I ever get to my goal weight of 125 pounds I'd probably cry cuz I've never been that low before. I've been big since I was 6 so I only remember myself being overweight and now obese. I've never been able to love myself because of the fat on my skin. At one point in my life I was like "fxck it, I don't care if I do it healthy or not" and starved myself for months and lost 30 pounds, but I gained it all back. So yeah, if I ever saw myself at a healthy weight I'd be happy crying because I worked so hard to try to love myself.
When I was a kid I had a really fast metabolism In 3rd grade it started to get slower Now I'm back to how I was thankfully This is what I did: -I didn't starve myself,ate ANYTHING but in small portions (sweets,junks and anything I like) -I walked around alot U dont have to make excuses walk around in circles i do the same -i eat happily and overall am happy again Just watch something funny tbh the more I am sad the more i gain while eating less -weight urself as less as u can If i weight myself after EVERY meal or every day I'll get insecure -Drink as much water as u can Even if it makes u have a stomach ache cuz u drank more than usual,it'll make u move around more so it's better -don't sleep too much or too less I Sleep around 7-9 hours (or sometimes more depends on u) and will easily fall asleep when I'm craving food and I'm loving it lmao That's all i can remember for now :)

You are not disgusting for eating. Our bodies need food to be alive! Tone down on any junkfood you eat and replace snack cravings with healthy foods, like eating fruit when you crave something sweet. Listen to what your body needs, when you feel hungry you are allowed to- and need to eat. Your value goes far beyond just your weight, always remember that. But also remember that your body does a lot of things for you, it is the reason you are alive, so treat it with respect and keep it healthy. Do not ever starve yourself. Eat healthy, natural foods. It will do good for your body and your mental health. Deep breaths. You will be okay.

I'm literally 13 and have the slowest metabolism. I work out every day, drink a lot of water, eat healthily. But I eat one carb or sugary thing and I look pregnant, for me, it's because of genetics.
Hi, I'm in my 30s. Bread and sugar is your enemy. If you can, see a professional nutritionist to help make a custom diet. 1hr gym time 5 days a week WILL boost your metabolism, and help prevent depression. Next thing you know, half of your peers (who don't diet or exercise) will complain that you have "unfair" genetics.
Maybe you are intolerant to something. Keep a food diary. Also try chewing your food till liquid n then swallowing it can help you with bloating. Good luck dont give up :)
I have a friend who has high metabolism... 1. She sleeps all day. 2. She eats junkfood. 3. If not asleep, either watching tv or is on the phone. 4. ... Repeat. Cos those are what she literally just do. Yet she when she eats, eats a 3-4 persons worth of amount of food. And still be thin af. Not slim. Thin! As for me, i don't eat a lot. Tho i drink water a lot. I was a bit more active than her too. Since i had to do household chores and if im done with them, i go out and play outside with our neighbors (while she just look at us from the side because she's "too tired" to join in.) I play games like tag or we hang out at the community's playground. Literally hanging at the monkey bar. And yet i was the one who was always called the pig. Yeah i was fat. That was when we were in elementary to high school. Now we're in our late 20's. She have 2 children. She still thin af. And me? College and now, work, is keeping me seated all day. So i became even more fatter. (-_-) So i am baffled. And life is just very very unfair in this aspect. QAQ
There’s something called “skinny fat”. She may be slim, but her body can still have a high percentage of fat if she doesn’t work out a lot + eats unhealthy. Keep making efforts in the long run! Even though results may not be immediately visible, your body will thank you in the future! Easier said than done tho lol. Personally, I’m also trying to work out more consistently, eat better, and drink more water.

@@Sanskruti-2222 if your body fat percentage goes up you can yes, (if your skinny with a gut bad news ) i suggest cut down the sugar it will start to taste bitter I use magic sipper straws and put them in a glass of milk. I eat no biscuits or chocolate. Your shape will improve if you've any trouble spots but it's likely great already. I had even at low weights they disappeared. Unfortunately I developed hypothyroidism. I've muffin top bingo wings and fat rolls bmi still ok but my body fat was 30% 1 and a half stone ago. It was the doubling of the body fat that did its probably at 60% now. Most of my muscle is gone had metabolism formally tested(I burn what a 2 year old burns daily) i also burn very little exercising so I'm going to have to adopt aggressive training regime. Nothing nice in my diet. Very angry with it. I'm now prediabetic.
1. Increase muscle mass, weight train 2-3 weekly. Have: 1lbs muscle = 14kcal burn, 1lbs fat = 3kcal burn. 2. Swap steady paced cardio to HIIT, 30 min = 300kcal burn. 3. Don't starve yourself. Calorie deficit steadily. 4. Have plenty of protein in every meals. Has highest TEP, body burns more to digest it. 5. Black coffee good. Take before workouts, better. 6. Be active, stand up and walk every hour instead of sitting. 7. Drink plenty water. Best is to drink it first thing in the mornin. 8. Get enough rest. Not enough rest => Leptin decrease and ghrelin increase, more hangry.

It's nice to read these comments and see there are others naturally having to battle unexplained weight gains. I've always felt alone. Always been beating my head against the wall to lose a single pound. I just turned 30 and I blew my whole life away crying, and feeling horrible about my body because I couldn't control it in the least. It's at least nice to see there are others. But I'm sorry for anyone going through it. It's an awful thing you gotta take one day at a time and hope hope for the best.
You might have a thyroid condition I did a moderate one, also get your metabolism formally tested you blow into this mouthpiece. Unfortunately my metabolism is very poor I can only eat 1200 calories a day or I'll gain weight and if I gain another stone it will still be 1200 and I'm now prediabetic over the weight I've gained. I will probably need to add muscle to improve it. I put on one stone between the first and second test and my metabolic rate had decreased. My exercise also doesn't burn much so I might need to exercise a couple of hours. I'm shooting for three.
@@soniczforever5470 I'm sorry to hear you're going through that. Where do you take this mouthpiece metabolic test? I did have my thyroid checked and no problems there. I'm working on getting deeper tests cause there's definitely something seriously wrong if I can eat so little calories and burn them off every day and still be at my weight.

That’s what I was thinking too! Currently, I am on summer break. But during my school time, I would spend hours together sitting at my desk and reviewing all my notes from my classes. I wasn’t that active and I didn’t care about how I looked physically because after all, my classmates aren’t seeing me in person right? Everything was virtual. Also I didn’t exactly have the time to exercise as much and I just ran for 30 minutes a day. I kind of regret not being active, but I suppose it was kind of worth it because I ended up with pretty good grades. Also I’m a freshman in high school so I was super stressed this year haha

I'm kind of 'recovering' from heavy calorie restriction. It all started when I gained weight at the age of ten, I am a diabetic type one since I was four and I was resistant to a certain insulin I was injecting at that time. There was a point were it was such a high amount that the injections couldn't be filled with enough insulin for me. I needed five full injections, normal kids at my age and weight needed a half injection. It was crazy and no doctor cared, it went on for almost three years. Because of that high insulin intake I gained weight, I still wasn't overweight just a bit chubby, until then I was always muscular and sporty. There was a solution but the weight wasn't going down. I thought I had to diet, to the point where I was eating like max. 450 calories a day and burning 600 calories with cardio. That went for over 2 years. Now I'm 15 years old. I still have my period, but sometimes it's only every two months and when I have it it's just like two days or so. It's a mess. Last year in March I started at 67. 1 kg. At my 'best' in summer I was 63 kg. I was eating so little, barely anything and didn't even lose that much weight. Now I'm trying to eat a little bit more (500+-, slowly trying to increase the intake) but more protein in the calories. Now I am 67 kg again (btw I'm 165 cm), earlier this year I ate even less but gained weight😔. At some point I just wonder how I survive, I am a competitive horse rider and do a lot of sports besides eating so little
If you want to lose weight like really ASAP, do a week water fast but like she said, extreme diet only works for a short period of time. I was 65 kg before my water fast and 56kg in the end of my water fast. Then I’m overconfident with my body and went to my old diet and now I’m 71 kg🤦🏻♂️
i learned the hard way that starving is not the way to loose weight. i have zero energy and a eating disorder now. recovering i want to get used to food and exercise and be proud of my wins

@@minan3583 try your best to sleep before 12 pm, your organs usually function better during 12:00 - 2.00 AM Sleeping after that time would be detrimental to your progress , it would still work , however it would not be as effective
@@minan3583 and to add on try not sleep more than 8 hrs .Although it's said for us to sleep 7-9 hrs a day , however sleeping more will affect your daily cycle and would also hinder your progress making you more lerthagic

Don't do hiit, you'll just make yourself tired and more hungry at the end of the day. Of course it's different for everyone but I found walking quickly at an incline yielded the best result for me personally. If you're looking to lose weight please consider low impact steady state cardio
I'm 27. Recently I have put on almost 5 lbs of extra weight. Since I am in my late twenties I have probably lost a few muscle mass already. Is it too late for me to start incorporating these in my life now?
Definitely not. You can start doing these at any age and it would work, atleast to an extent. Of course I would imagine a 90 year old wouldn't get the same results as you, but it's definitely not too late
I started eating more protein snacks like yogurt in between meals and drinkin at least a liter of water or green tea a day. Ive been trying to get at least 7 hours of sleep and just started doing a daily pilates, barre, or HIIT video 3x a week and alternating days with a 30 min walk/run 2-3x a week. Wow that's y... I was doing aerobic & swimming 3x a week at d gym, no diet ... I loose 7kg/month. I walk normal every morning to work & home from work (30-45 mins each - depends to d speeds) for almost 2 years & ekstrem diet ,loose only 2kg in d 1st month, 5 kilo for 5months only & my weight stuck.

The only thing missing element is the role mental health plays on metabolism, and maitenence of habits which cause weight gain and body image challenges. Dont get a Personal Trainer all the diets work, and there is plenty of RU-vid info on how to train. Spend the money on therapy!

I really like how you don't advocate for the blame game - it's my genetics. Before the car we had to walk everywhere, lawn care was a push mower and pulling weeds. I put a rack and foldable baskets on my bike so I could go grocery shopping. Hit all my stores, but no place for my Lay and Ruffle Potato Chips and dip. My mom was a laundress for 40 hours a week. I thought she just had high metabolism - she was doing manual labor instead of my call center job. Guess who has the weight issues:-) Really enjoying this for the inspiration to get off my backend and live life - Healthy & Fit not for the 5 lbs to fit a party dress.
It's so weird... like I'm not starving myself or anything, I listen to my body. When I’m hungry, I eat a healthy snack and I get full after that. But when it's 4pm, I start feeling sooooooo hungry... and then I start binging on foods, whether it's healthy or not. Can someone please tell me why?

D: I have done a ton of like a month diets with a challenging workout, but the results never are positive.........I don’t know what do I do wrong, but it really doesn’t help, because I always just think about to myself: Well it won’t work this time either........ Maybe you could try this. 1. Reduce stress levels. Get enough sleep. 2. Don't focus on the scale. Because in some cases you gain muscle mass if you lose fat. Just see if your clothes are looser and take your body measurement using a measuring tape. 3. Eat more protein but not too much. Make sure you know how much is enough for your personal needs. Any protein is fine, meat based or plant based. 4. When it comes to carbs, opt for the complex versions. Swap white bread and rice for their brown cousins. Oats are really good too, an excellent source of fiber and protein at the same time. 5. Fats are important. I mean healthy fats like olive oil, salmon, nuts, avocado, whole eggs and chia seeds. 6. Try to steam your veggies and meat (if you eat meat). Don't deep fry them. Eat them steamed, lightly stir-fried or grilled. This saves you a lot of calories. 6. You don't have to cut out sugar completely. Just avoid them in excessive quantities and get your sugar from fruits. 7. Try not to eat fruits with a meal. It can give negative affects for your digestion. Try taking a fruit as a snack like 2 hours after your previous meal. And wait another 2 hours before having your next meal. 8. If you like to snack, it's okay. Opt for fruits and veggies high in water. Watermelon, cucumber etc. 9. Reduce sodium (salt) but not to a dangerous ammount. Excess sodium causes you to retain water and your stomach will look bloated because of water weight. That's why water based foods are really good for you. 8. Stay hydrated. Here's a way I tried and it sort of helped slightly. Drink a glass of warm water half an hour before a meal. It curbs appetite and prevents overeating. 9. Fix any sort of indigestion issue if possible. If you have constipation, you might feel bloated, sluggish and gain weight. That was what happened for me. Fix constipation using healthy ways like drinking more water and checking how much fiber you are eating. 10. Check about proper ways to increase metabolism. 11. Extra tips Drink a glass of lemon water first thing in the morning, 30 minutes before breakfast. Read about this first before trying. Certain people might not get benefits from this if they have some sort of medical issues or conditions. Try drinking a glass of green tea 30 minutes before a workout. Don't overdo the green tea to excessive quantities though. After your workout, consume some sort of protein. Maybe you could drink a glass of milk after the workout and if you are having a meal after the workout, eat more protein and (carbs if necessary).
My friends eat whatever they want,pull an all nighter almost every week and sometimes go out but instead of gaining weight they lose one pound just by drinking water !! Ok, I know everyone likes positivity. But I really just want to say this.. Soo.. When I was 8 I thought my legs were big, and started ruining my mood bc of it. And I had that one “friend” who was really lazy sleeps late and eats junk food.. She was skinnier than me. But later when I became 9 I felt uncomfortable so I wore black leggings and a random shirt from the closet. I was healthy, but when I became 10 I started sreaching up stuff on yt/Google and it became a big problem to me. Then I stopped eating for a day, but couldn't handle it and decided to ignore it. But rn (11) I don't know when I'm gonna die or not and starving slows down metabolism and I tried it again and again. My goal is going down in 28kg, but my dad kinda noticed that bc I asked him “What would happen if I weighed...?” and stuff.. And the teachers noticed that I don't eat a lot and I'm not really comfortable with it- and another girl in my class likes to do what I do so she didn't eat.. Umm I don't know what tf to do rn... you are right in every point you said , i just started dieting before 3 weeks to lose my weight , i am now 122 Kg and plan to reach 80 kg within 4 or 5 months , my schedule like this 1- breakfast is water with small sandwich of turkey or low salt cheese and an apple and 1 cucumber during work 2- when back to home i have my lunch with protein and plate of salad or soup 3- i go to gym and my calrori burning increase from 600 to 950 and some times 1100 calories /hour only on treadmill 4- i didnt start lifting yet 5- will start to take fat burner like hydroxy cut 6- move in the office during work day 7- after the workout i drink lot of water 8- almost no dinner except fruits if i feel hungry when i started diet i was very heavy , hard to move , very tight closes , now feel more active my body start to shrink , closes start to become more fitter and i am keeping on until reach my target in sha Allah
