I’ve heard a lot of your videos and these ideas you speak of are not new but for some reason your ability to articulate and portray them through examples, hard/and anecdotal evidence along with great analogies creates a clear visual on what you’re talking about. Your the best virtual LIFE COACH I have found. Thank you.

Key takeaway Best skill to possess is filtering info. Theres way too much misiniformation. So watch peoples average behavior over time. LISTEN TO EVERYONE BUT ASSUME THEY ARE NOT CORRECT UNTIL I CAN VERIFY ITS TRUE. FACT CHECK EVERYONE ALWAYS!!!.(not necessarily that they are lying but most of the time they are due to the misinformation present today). Ask five whys when evalauting someone. Ask why questions 5 times? Action Items 1) List my major beliefs (behavior is the output of my beliefs, behavior will show my beliefs even when im not aware of them) 2)Ask 5 why questions when evaluating an "expert". 3)Ask is someone all in and following their own advice, when they are giving it. Is there money where their mouth is? (They are much more likely to be right when they are practicing what they preach). 4) Get good at filtering info by observing behavior so that you can fact with my own eyes bc everyone is wrong until proven right and making good decisions is based on having good info. Discern fact from fiction, a couple of bad peices of info can ruin you.

I think this problem stems from the fact that people are being told for the first 18-20 years of their lives (school, parents etc.) that the Answers are what matters the most in life and not good, quality Questions. So nobody learns to ask questions but rather keep looking for THE source for answers.

Jordan Peterson said there are 3 types of truth. Objective truth is the absolute truth, no matter how you turn it. Personal truth is something that can be very dear to someone, like a religious opinion. It's the absolute truth, but just to someone. Then you have political truth which is only true because everyone repeats it and is later accepted as fact.

Just discovered you from a new mentor of mine, Josh Forti! Definitely true what you said on a certified title or any authority - that it can be a red sign - that can mean trouble. And always looking out for consistent behavior and response over what people say is absolutely a great thing that can change the course of your life or in a small scale just change your perspective leading to a better outcome for business, relationships, and life! Just subscribed! Thank you, Sam!

Sam, I wanted to thank you for all of your fantastic content. You are building better people, better humans. Yes, you're concepts are crucial to business, but you're also teaching people how to critically think independently on their own.. something that has been lost.. maybe a great video topic to discuss? How people now are trained to respond and react to the thousands of media channels rushing us daily, rather than critically thinking through situations ourselves by creating and being proactive. Either way, Sam, we all truly appreciate you taking the time to put out this content. It's a HUGE breath of fresh air in the online space. Thank you!

The best thing I learned while doing my engineering degree is how to do research. Because if you don't, the thing that you are working towards simply will not work. The hardest part in making or building anything in life is not building it, but to have a credible source of information to tell you on how to do it.

I fell for this when it came to buying online courses. I was too susceptible too the authority bias of the person that was selling the program. Granted I got a great deal on it, but non the less, it wasn’t as valuable as it have seemed and I now currently spend my time learning on RU-vid and testing my assumption rather than just believing something someone says. Thanks for the info Sam.

I don't think "go to school and get a job" is necessarily bad advice. It will keep you off the streets and from living in abject poverty, (providing that you actually majored in a skill that is marketable) It's just not the "BEST" advice. It's kind of like telling little kids to save their money. It's much better than blowing it all on junk food and toys, But then there comes a time where you have to evolve even higher and then learn to invest. You cant invest money if you are unable to even eat. Extremely poor people certainly can't afford your courses. But overall I would have to say that I generally agree with you. there is something with in us all that yearns for more freedom and Independence. That's really what making money is all about. It's not about money at all. It's about the freedom that we can get from that.

Colleges used to be a lot more profitable and degree's were less common. But now the landscape has changed. Colleges are a lot more expensive and college degree's are a dime a dozen now. There is actually more money to be made in tech certificates because people will always need their cars and computers to be fixed.

Hey Sam, I like the reasoning in this video, however I think that there are two perspectives here that one should consider. One is that if the person himself is invested in for example a hedge fund, there is a higher chance that it is the truth that the hedge fund is profitable because as you said "actions reflect behaviour". However there is a common psychological theory of forcing ones belief onto others to validate oneself, meaning if I invest in a stock that I believe is really good, I would go and say to others "Hey this stock is really good, you should invest" just to trigger a validating reaction from them to satisfy my worry that it might not be a good decision. Aside from "actions reflecting belief", is there another way that is similar to what you mentioned to increase the chance of "truth" people say? I really don't want this to come off as an aggressive argumentation, I really love your content and it has changed my life significantly. Henry

Great advice and I often think this is why so many people can get stuck in life because they may have views and opinions outside of the set social "paradigm" but no tools and skills to believe in their own comprehension of the world. My current issue is when this meets the law ie. legal requirements to have x qualification to be able to teach Y even if having said qualification is not what is needed to actually make an impact in Y.

Yes, truth is the truth that they know today. But everyday we wake up to our own crosses we bare. At night we need to forgive and move on. I do know if anybody can be bought out, they are untrustworthy. Money may be the true judgment factor of all. I forgive and move on from everything stolen from me to a degree, and one day if I do have extra money I would try my best to make this a better world.
