As a 60 year-old I have struggled for months to do these basic moves. This 13 minute video lesson has been a worthwhile investment of my time. I like both the jumping rope explanation leading-in to the running man as well as lifting your foot during the two-step so as not to step on it. You were able to build off what I knew already to a rough but promising start of more coordinated shuffling. Thanks!!
this one i developed on my own without knowing it was already a dance, once you master the running man, you just play with it that was when i stumbled upon this dance. its kind of a shorter stanced running man with less in the air. great tutorial.
Oh, I get it now! Thank you! Thank you! I can now practice the right ways to move and shift with a goal that is easier to achieve. Little steps of learning, in the right direction. I also love when you demonstrate with music! I truly appreciate your videos. Thank you.
This is in my bucket list , as I'm over the hill age .Love this dance style, love your explanation. Now , I have to try it out, hopefully I can show off on my bday ..nobody is expecting me to do this .😊
You can still do this -- don't lose confidence. Just do it slowly at first -- and then work your way up. It pretty much is like he says -- jumping rope, while "running" :-) I'm 50 btw.
On my bucket list too. Over the hill guy. My wife agreed to quit smoking if I could dance as well as Vico Neo to mama talkin or lost in the rythym then.
@@kr4awkr4aw5 I know the feeling, I am 62 and always been part of an underground music scene which never leaves you. By hook or by crook I will conquer this LOL.
I know this video is 3 years old but it’s the first one I see with steps before doing the whole step- so helpful for this older body that wants to learn to shuffle. Thank you!
Great tutorial very simply explained. Took me ages to get it. This and the moonwalk are genius. How they worked these out in the first place is amazing.
I have two left legs, and I saw a comment mentioned that this is the best tutor site for shuffle dance so I checked in. You are so patient. I am 73, and I have confidence that I can learn steps from you and surprise my kids! ❤❤❤. Thanks!!!
Awesome explanation! First one I actually could learn the basic running man from. Been working on it forever. I am a good dancer and I learn fast… but I have been stumped on this one! Thank you!!! You are an amazing teacher.
You are the first and only RU-vidr to have given me the very reason why I simply cannot do "the running man" and I must have seen dozens and dozens of tutorials on how to do it. I can't jump rope. Skip as it's called here in the UK. Never could get the rhythm and synchronisation of the action. Thank you.
You're breaking this down has been so beneficial for me. Evidently I'm so clumsy and uncoordinated, I needed this breakdown. I'm confident now that I'll be able to do this! Thank you!!
Please keep teaching us. This is your calling. Edit: I'm not even kidding. You ARE impressive with how you break it down. So happy this ole lady found ya.
The t-step tutorial is super helpful. I am still trying to get this down, plus transitioning from one move to the next (ex, running man to charleston to t-step).
Here's a tip with these awesome videos. First go full screen, the rotate your phone 180 degrees, but do not let the video rotate... Now, you can mirror the steps facing the same direction!
This is really great I’m 56 ans i’ts my second years on EUC cycle and I just love shuffling peoples, so I will learn that to with you. Very clear explanation. Know the only thing it’s with the music is synchronization, as you say with the beat. Haha ok whit the music I get confused, but I will break it down peace by peace and hope I will still breathe after 🫶🏻 thank you this is amazing
I ve almost seen on youtube every tutorial by every people about basic shuffle dance moves. But by surprise, i can say your explanations are to another level. Very effective❤ You basically show us you know how to shuffle not only inconsciously, like 95% of explainers(so do like this, and that's the running man!! "Thanks for the explanation! Now i know what i already knew"), but also consciously❤❤
Finally!🥳 I used 2 floor tiles to do the running man, that gives a good indication. That sideways step I now also understand. And am working on the twisted running man. Thing is, it's still quite a strain and that's also what it looks like. Suppose you need to train the muscles. I can feel my but already, specially from that sideways step. Thanks a lot!!
And remember to use your hips and upper body to create momentum for movement, rather than jumping up and down. It makes moving/gliding much easier. Head should be level and hips/mid section doing all the work.
Yes! Great way to look at it Because truly it is all about balancing and weight distribution. Once you master balancing and momentum using hips rather than entire body then it all comes together.
I was not expecting this many people to watch my videos. I was dancing in front of the mirror the other day trying to see what arm & foot movement look cool in order to make a new video. I turned my decals around on my floor to make videos from behind view. I found some ok royalty free music I'm practicing to also.
Back in the 90's we were doing this in the night clubs and at raves.... its been quite a while for me. Very rusty. LOL But after seeing all the videos on Instagram of that guy and his kids in Russia I'm totally inspired to get shuffling again.
I am 73 and really want to do these shuffles. I won't be able to do the fast frantic dances but that's okay. I want the exercise. Thank you so much! I would also like to buy videos.
Legal você é inteligente certo eu, não somente eu, mas sei quem ver seus encinamentos vão adorar você é um bom futuro para o mundo da música parabéns abraço José.
What's your background? If you're not a dance teacher you should be. All your teachings make instantly sense at least for a beginner. That last move looks difficulty on every shuffling videos but you make it feel much more easier. Yes I know more beat you have more difficult it gets, but before your teaching I didn't know how to do it at all.
